  1. From this morning's paper. ___________________________________________ Underrated? The top 10 area seniors still waiting on a major-college offer: RB Kenneth Burks (5-8, 185), Mansfield: Ran for 1,885 yards, 23 touchdowns as a junior and was leading the area in rushing with 907 yards and nine scores through five games in 2012 before tearing his ACL. RB Larry Cheeks (5-9, 170), Crowley: The second-team all-state selection as a senior led Crowley to an undefeated District 8-4A title by rushing for 1,923 yards and 23 touchdowns. Cheeks amassed more than 4,100 yards and 40 touchdowns on the ground as a three-year starter for the Eagles. DB Andre Chineme (6-0, 195), Arl. Bowie: His best fit at the next level is at safety, but spent most of the 2012 season at linebacker for the District 3-5A champs. Chineme is a fast, aggressive player who routinely delivers punishing hits. QB Quade Coward (6-4, 210), Cleburne: The District 8-4A MVP threw for 3,270 yards, 36 touchdowns and rushed for 603 yards, 15 scores to lead Cleburne back to the playoffs for the first time since 2002. WR Nathan Crouch (6-3, 180), Colleyville Heritage: The big target runs a 4.5-second 40 and wins most jump balls as a deep threat, averaging 18.6 yards per reception in 2012. Crouch caught 56 passes for 1,039 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2012. QB Austin Henyon (6-1, 190), FW Trinity Valley: Threw for 2,554 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior, then 1,416 yards and seven scores, along with 350 yards and eight scores rushing, in just seven games in 2012. DB Tanner Jacobson (5-10, 185), Southlake Carroll: Tallied 311 tackles and six interceptions as a three-year starter for the Dragons. Won two district championships and a state title as a starter. Averaged almost 16 yards a punt return in 2012. OL Andreau Kirby (6-3, 340), Euless Trinity: It's rare when a Trojans offensive lineman goes unnoticed, but Andreau only played one full season after suffering minor injuries earlier in his career. The all-district and Super Team selection uses a great combination of power and surprising athleticism at the point of attack. RB Aaron Stevenson (6-0, 190), FW Western Hills: The second team all-state and Star-Telegram Super Team selection rushed for 1,880 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior. With good size and speed (4.5-second 40-time) he should have several big-school offers. DB Matt Waller (5-11, 215), Arl. Martin: A three-year starter at safety, the two-time first-team all-district performer played on all special-teams units and added quarterback to his résumé midway through his senior season. Waller collected 254 tackles and nine interceptions over his career. Read more here: http://www.star-telegram.com/2013/01...#storylink=cpy
  2. Antoine is obviously a big loss. He has backed out of his UNT commitment and verbally committed to TCU. Denzel Johnson (ATH-Gainesville) was being recruited by UNT but TCU showed interest which his new coach began circulating his senior film. He has also now verbally committed to TCU.
  3. I agree he signed way over his head. Kansas wanted out of that too as Self encouraged Peters before his senior year to play football. If he can get over the concussion issue he will provide inside toughness to some team with a nice touch around the basket. He needs to play next to a superior player (like he did at Prestonwood with Randle) to be able to do the dirty work. He would actually have fit quite nicely next to Tony.
  4. The head coach, Greg Price, played at UNT. You'll also notice Apogee Stadium in a few of Brad's highlights. Liberty played a game there this past season.
  5. Coaches were smart to get in on him early. That offer came in the fall. He's a true road grader with a nasty habit of pancaking defenders. He's been starting since his freshman year and made 1st team all-state this year. And for those worried about level of competition, this year alone he saw front 7 players committed to TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Air Force and Ole Miss.
  6. Cameron Echols Luper (WR/DB) just decommitted from A&M as well. Interested in TCU and Tech just like Adoboyejo. Those two decommitts could be big for UNT to get Antoine.
  7. There's some good news/bad news as it pertains to Antoine and TCU. Bad News is Josh Boyce is leaving early for the NFL and S Jaime Byrd is transferring out. So that both pushes a WR up their depth chart and opens up a scholly for Antoine. Good News is Quincy Adoboyejo decommitted from A&M and likes TCU and Tech. If TCU decides to target a WR he would definitely be their priority over Antoine. While TCU is still stacked at WR, they could use a 2013 recruit as a redshirt guy as their WR corps will consist of 5 JRs and 2 Sophs.
  8. What's the thought at WR? I ask because A WR from Colleyville Heritage received some interest in the fall from UNT coaches. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/499311/nathan-crouch He is a late bloomer that didn't receive significant playing time until switching to WR as a senior. Finished the season with over 1,000 yards and led team in TD catches. Also up over 6'3" now and has really grown since his sophomore year. And yes I know the kid that's why I'm asking. Just curious how some people that have a good grasp on UNT's recruiting think the class will shape up at WR.
  9. Brad Lundblade's junior year film through 5 games: http://youtu.be/laXNTxPL6ZE His dad is about 6'8" by the way, so Brad may have another growth spurt in him.
