Stanford supports 36 athletic teams. I think UT supports about 18. As a result of bad decisions and poor management by the PAC 12 , Stanford will probably have to drop some and a number of athletes will lose their scholarships . College football and basketball tote the note for all other sports.
Stanford has $36 billion. They can afford independence, park their Olympic sports in the WCC or Big West and recruit nationally.

What a roller coaster. This was all a ploy by Washington and Oregon to get more money from the Big 10.

Now, now...don't try to get TOO high and mighty and claim all the credit.
The Big 10 is going to help with the burial.
True. They started all of this.

I think we won't know the exact numbers until next year when someone uses the FOIA to get the actual numbers. I always thought we would be getting half shares, but if it is how you say that extra $6.3M may go to cover entrance fees over a few years for new schools. I know that eventually the contract will get us all to the same payout, but that information has not been revealed.
I'd assume Navy and Wichita split 1 share, but maybe someone like @DentonStang or @Cougar King who've been in the conference know the details.
As fas as the exit fees, I'm not sure what those will be used for. Maybe to bolster the legacy members, or something else. I don't think the 6 new members would see any of that money, as we weren't in the conference when they left.
Yes. Since Navy is football only and Wichita is Olympic sports only, neither gets a full share.

Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff set to present media rights deal to member schools, per reports
"Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff is expected to present a potential media rights deal to member institutions within the next 48 hours, according to multiple reports."
Lol what a crappy deal

How many spots are available?
It sure seems like bad logistics for some of the schools making application. I guess if they take all those applying it might work out from a logistics standpoint.
Great question. My guess is anywhere from 1 up to as many as 7 assuming nobody else leaves.

It's official. I'm already on their board bringing in the welcoming committee with other Big 12 trolls.

You've been doing this for years. There is no way you have a girlfriend or wife, or I guess boyfriend in your case. If you're doing this on multiple forums you're putting hours and hours of your life in to this. If I had to guess there's not a lot of happiness in your real life and this is a way for you to fill that void.
That's pretty pathetic, may god have mercy on your soul and I hope you seek help.
Boomer, there's this thing called a smartphone where you can make a post in about 25 seconds. No need to spend several hours at the computer anynore.

bigger question what is Cougar Queen doing on the UNT fan forum? Last I checked we have never been in the same conference, we dont play them very often so what gives.
You should be out bothering the TCU, Texas. Oklahoma and sure you fit with the Tech fans.
Now run along, mama is cooking your favorite dinner
It's the offseason and UT won't allow me on their forum anymore after I trolled it when they were on that losing streak.

The better question would be, "What do you have to do with UNT?"

Gonna be a tough year at TDECU which is why we didn’t renew ours this year. Basketball will be competitive but Dana has got to go.

The only thing that stands out about you here is being out of place. You can always go hang out at Big12 rival sports. But I suspect you already know that your trolling won’t stand out there. Because you will have to rely on the quality of what you say in the troll rather than being uniquely out of place.
I'm sure your brothers, especially Tito would disagree with you.

Brah, you're the poster boy for low-quality trolling. Just own it.
If my trolling was low quality, I wouldn't have made a name for myself. I would have just been forgotten and thrown to the wayside.

Low-quality trolling hurts my feelings. Where's the love? Where's the elbow grease? Where's the respect for the craftsmanship?
