  1. http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/71753/heisman-hopeful-qbs-stand-out-in-week-1 According to ESPN.com, Derek Thompson had the 5th highest QBR in the country last week (96.6), putting him above the likes of Jameis Winston, who dazzled the country Monday night. It is a new career high for DT (his previous being a 93.8) after going 23-27 for 349 yards in a rout of Idaho. Now I think we can all agree it is rather unlikely that DT will win the Heisman, but this game was definitely a confidence booster both for DT and us fans. I don't know about you, but when DT got hurt, I was worried a little about the flow of the offense until he came back in. The key for next week is going to be for DT to do this again, as the key to success in sports is consistency...consistency...consistency. This post has been promoted to an article

  3. I agree. If we can't stop the long ball then Aaron Murray and the Bulldogs will do what is expected, and not the almost upset that was K-State last year that I'm pulling for.
  4. My biggest issue with how the school is handeling this is that they aren't telling this to the students. It doesn't mention anywhere on any website, other than the seating chart, that there has been a change to the seating. The students can be stubborn at times, so I think to ease things over they could explain what they are doing and why they are doing it. Instead, many of the students are going to find this out tomorrow, one way or another, and it won't be smooth.
  5. The price for the flying worm shirt is too damn high!

  6. See I went by there earlier as well, and I thought the shirt looked ok on the manikin. I liked the hat better though. The shirt was running about $35 and the hat $20-$25... I can't remember.
  7. It's a shame that a talent like Orr will be overlooked because of the school he plays for. I don't have any doubt in my mind that he will work his way onto a pro team like Dunbar and Robertson.
  8. That cannon is the loudest thing I have ever heard. I enjoy the reactions of people who aren't expecting it. Can't wait to see the freshman in two days!
  9. It looks as if someone suggested a shirt idea at the last minute and this is what was agreed upon last Friday... Oh well. I'm still going to look into getting one and the hat, but that honestly depends on how much it'll cost.
  10. I tried to find out how a new alumni could come across these tickets on the box office website, but I couldn't find anything. This leads me to believe that it is what you guys are saying it is, just a way to appease the suits of C-USA. I was at the Spirit Night tonight, and the seating change wasn't mentioned. Also, Mac implied that the student seating was to remain the same by addressing how the home field advantage and the students heckling were linked together. I'm thinking the students are just going to have to wait and see come Saturday evening.
  11. On the website it doesn't show any changes to the Super Pit student section, but that doesn't mean they won't change that closer to basketball season. We'll just have to wait and see.
  12. I don't know if anybody has seen this yet but there appears to be a change to where the students are required to sit. Sections 121, 120, and 119 are now reserved for "Young Alumni," or those who have graduated from 2008-2013. I know there were issues with student behavior at the games last year, including one incident when a Troy player couldn't resist himself and began to heckle the students back. This could be the only thing I could think of that would influence this change. That, or maybe the powers that be decided to simply give young alumni a place to sit. Whatever the reason, I thought I would just throw this out there. Here's the link to the new seating chart by the way: http://www.meangreenmap.com/apogeeseating.html?DB_OEM_ID=1800
  13. With the effort TM played with tonight, it's hard to see him ever playing in the NBA. First sign of trouble he and the team (except Franklin) quit. This is a reflection on the coach, and I'm assuming that not starting him was his attempt at "discipling" Mithchell? (???)
