  1. He's been on an absolute roll this year consistently releasing new tracks and videos. I'm a particular fan of this collab since I've mixed a few Paul Wall shows:

I was just looking at some clips of Fine in '17 & '18, it is evident that putting those 20 lbs. on him plus the beatings that Utah St. & LaTech put on him last year have taken their toll. He is now wild high every game, is absolutely no threat to scramble , and really does not handle the game as well as he once did. Except for the era of Jeffery Wilson, he has the best set of running backs since SL has been here.  The only reason anyone can stop these backs is that they are daring Fine to throw. Even in prior year many of his passes were under thrown but Guyton and Bussey could come back and make a circus catch and Fine would get the credit. Believe me I saw Steve Ramsey who played against far better competition and Mason Fine is no Steve Ramsey. I think all the press early and preseason also got in his head.

Jazz sucks, everybody knows it sucks, but nobody wants to be the person to admit it.

(This is where one pseudo-intellectual lies and pretends he actually likes jazz)

How bad is it? Nobody would ever go back to prison if they played KNTU music.

Seriously, how many thousand times can we sit through "A jazz ensemble made famous in 1927 by Spanish composer blah blah blah..."

I'm not saying we need to play Rocky and Star Wars for every halftime show, but I'd love to see the Green Brigade finally cut themselves free of that jazz albatross they've been dragging for over half a century.

I get it, that music was popular at one time, very very long ago, but it's outdated and stinks now. Jazz is to music what Surströmming is to food.

Other than that, I love the Green Brigade.

    It's obviously because of Reeder

Matthew Brune has it on pretty solid authority that Reeder and Littrell are splitting play-calling duties, nearly 60/40 or sometimes 50/50. I think the split personality of the offense this year can be attributed to that alone. For reference the last three years had been 80/20 Harrell/Littrell calling shots.

When do we get to see the "hurry up" offense and more TE usage?  Asking for a friend.  GMG

See above. I think we started to see the TE stuff in game one (lots of Pirtle!), but the staff may have realized that Fine was not gelling with it as much as they had hoped, adding to that the emergence of Tre Siggers. So there's been some trying to force past success while taking what the defense gives you coupled with wow-that-run-game.

I’d ultimately like to see a 3-way (fight the urge) rivalry for a trophy between UNT, SMU, and TCU, similar to the Commander-in-Chief Trophy.  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commander-in-Chief's_Trophy

    Hard agree.

Also, do we need to go ahead and preemptively reinforce our claim to the first integrated major football in Texas again before Houston does? I feel like that’s almost a prerequisite to any game history y’all with them.

What are we missing out on here?

If North Texas were  located in Possum Holler might we receive just as much TV coverage as other CUSA schools who are (as you look at this CUSA TV package)?  Why don’t someone sketch our games (a la a courtroom artist)  & just put those in the Sunday Comics?😳   More fans would see that than what they are getting the opportunity to see now from CUSA’s TV game schedulers who are equally distributing TV coverage no matter how large or small a school’s home base & it’s population.  The NFL network in 2019  does little for North Texas.

What does the MWC TV package look like?  It can’t be worse than what we have now.  With a population of almost 1 million in Denton County; 120K in Denton; a gnat’s whisker shy of 40K UNT students; 175K UNT alums in northern Texas might some call that a large TV market?  Well, it is a large TV market that is not being allowed to spread its wings.

    GMG.

I think after the last major rounds of conference realignments, the bargaining chip of “tv market” combined with the Wild West era of streaming has made the former rendered useless in tv rights deal negotiations. It sounds like the media powers that be favor matchups over anything else.

How many stayed for the halftime show? The tribute to UNT Jazz was absolutely brilliant!

It may be rooted in jazz, but make no mistake this was some straight up marching arrangements. It's not like there's changes or anything being blowed over, its still marching music. Which is apropos, by the way.
