  1. I checked. It is the 440 shuttle bus. I knew it ran during the week because a lot of students ride it from the Village apartments to campus. It also runs on the weekends. It actually drops off right in front of Moody. Regardless, as you mentioned the walk is not bad if you have to do that.
  2. Yes. The train is a good way to go. I took it to one of our football games in Denton a few years ago, and i take the DART train to work daily. I believe the day pass is $8-10 but students should get a discount. As UNTFan23 posted, you take Denton train to Carrollton, but you transfer at the Trinity Mills station to the green line. Take that downtown and transfer to any three of the red, orange or blue lines. Once downtown those lines are pretty frequent (maybe 5 minutes apart). I’d recommend getting off at St Paul or the Arts District stop. St Paul has a 7-11 at that stop if you need to grab anything. Then take one of those three lines north to SMU/Mockingbird. They have shuttles from there to the campus during the week and Saturday. I’m not sure about Sunday. If not, it is just a 10 minute walk crossing over 75 on Mockingbird to Moody.
  3. 30%, forgoing 70%. Quite a lot for schools who were already at the table. Per the ACC release Stanford, Cal AND SMU will still receive revenue from the College Football Playoff, bowl games and NCAA Basketball Tournament. Also, I believe all three, SMU included, will get their full share of the ACC Network money.
  4. I guess you’re referring to Stanford and Cal….and SMU lol.
  5. Enjoyed the game except for the way it ended. We cannot finish close games. Same thing happened to us against Wisconsin, Arizona St and Dayton. Anyway, I met a lot of very nice UNT fans. Thanks for a fun night. Keep winning and see y’all at Moody in a couple of weeks.
  6. SMU fan here. I am looking forward to the game in Denton next week. This will be my third time to the Super Pit, and second to see us play there. I think y’all are better than us because of your shooting, but I think we are more athletic. Our two biggest flaws are we have stretches where we can’t throw it in the ocean and we’re incredibly turnover prone. That said, Lanier has done a good job of creating a defensive culture, very similar to your team. Anyway, glad y’all are getting a group to come to Moody. It is a great place to see a game. All the best to y’all when you’re not playing us. Beat Charlotte tomorrow.
  7. One of my co-workers, an SMU alum, just told me that the #2 basketball recruit in the country, Muday I believe, is deciding between SMU and Kentucky on ESPN tomorrow night. A lot of the experts are leaning towards it being SMU. I wish we could've talked Larry Brown to come to La Tech.
  8. As apposed to the highly attractive new C-USA.....you people live in a dream world
  9. One of my co-workers, a Houston grad, said that the BE is trying to get it done before Saturday where they can officially announce it during ESPN's College Gameday, which is going to be live from Houston for the Houston-SMU game. GO DAWGS! BEAT NEVADA!
  10. UNTLifer, Thta's unfortunate about our admin degrading your conference, not sure why they felt that would benefit anyone. I wish all schools on the outside would come together rather than fighting about who's resume is better.
  11. Fair enough. Honestly, I'm new to the message boards, even ours. The conference shuffle spurred my interest to start browsing. It's a fascinating time for sure. I have come to realize that these message boards have a small group of diehard fans who may or may not be rresentative of the fan base as a whole. I'm a 2004 grad and I try to attend 2 or 3 games a year. Base on my years post grad and as a student I've never ran across Tech fans with anything negative to say about North Texas. But as you mentioned, there must be something going on with the Tech posters that I'm unaware of but I would say that doesn't represent the fan base as a whole. Every school has a few fans who are often the most vocal that make the whole group look bad. I guess that's life.
  12. PlummMeanGreen, Louisiana Tech alum here now living in the Dallas area. I occasionally stop by your board to check North Texas views on the conference shuffle. You of all the posters on this board seem very opinionated on certain schools, and now your venom is directed at Tech? What have we done to piss off the Sun Belt schools? I follow our program closely from afar and I've never heard of any ill will towards NT or the Sun Belt. We all would like to move up in the world of college athletics but geez. Care to explain? And I'm not trying to come on your board and start anything, I'd just like to know why you feel this way about Tech?? Your lengthy posts are comical, if nothing else. Also, what in the world did SMU do to you?? Everyone one of your posts seem to have a backhanded slap at them. Anyway, Go Dawgs! beat Ole Miss!
