Briefly … Dickey said Tuesday that he paid for the black jerseys UNT’s players wore on Saturday in their game against Florida Atlantic. The jerseys had no names or logos. NOW THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKIN' ABOUT!!! TAKING THE CREDIT FOR BEING A DONKEY'S BEHIND! THANK YOU MR. VITO...AND SORRY ABOUT THE "PRESS DWARF" COMMENT. MED, RICK, RCADE, ETHAN S. & TROY @ FW STAR TELEGRAM...THANK YOU FOR YOUR WISE WORDS, SUGGESTIONS, AND LOVE OF THE MEAN GREEN...WE WILL SURVIVE - EVEN THIS!! WE AIN'T LEAVIN DENTON...CAUSE IT'S OUR HOME!!

BECAUSE... Coach Dickey told THE PLAYERS that they would be wearing black uniforms ON FRIDAY. ON FRIDAY!! THE PLAYERS TOLD US PARENTS WHEN THEY CAME HOME FROM PRACTICE on Friday. OBVIOUSLY, RICK VILLARREAL IS NOT A PLAYER AND HE DOES NOT PRACTICE WITH THE TEAM AND HE WAS NOT INFORMED!! ESPECIALLY SINCE COACH DICKEY WANTED TO DO THIS AND MAKE HIS "LAST HOME STAND" AGAINST THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR RICK VILLARREAL to "piss him off!." HOW HARD IS THIS TO UNDERSTAND?!? GGGGGHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you read Vito's article, today, on "how sad this all is!" and "ACCORDING TO THE TEAM AND HEAD COACH DARRELL DICKEY WAS JUST A MATTER OF THE MEAN GREEN'S PLAYERS LOVING THE LOOK (black uniforms) AND NOTHING TO DO WITH A PROTEST OVER DICKEY'S DISSMISSAL." "RV SAID SUNDAY HE HADN'T EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO LOOK AT THE UNIFORMS, WHICH HAD NO NAMES OR LOGOS." Wasn't RV at the game? The team DID NOT DECIDE ABOUT THE UNIFORMS - THEIR COACH DECIDED AND THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THE TEAM COULD DO ABOUT IT! Oh, so let's just pretend that NOTHING happened. People, we are being LIED TO, by the head coach, by RV, and by the press. Our Athletic department should be held to a higher standard. Why do you think that we are in such bad shape?? I am totally disgusted by this entire charade! I am glad that my son ONLY has one more game - and being a senior, he better get to play. I did write an email to RV last week - never heard back, guess that is just the way this administration handles things...IGNORE IT!

Bravo Gray Eagle!! Unfortunately, many of us have FINALLY come to the same conclusion. God Bless Dickey and his family, but he turned his back on UNT and I hope we have to hear of him NO MORE! My son and many players have had to endure this man and his regime and I pray that these young men can overcome this disgraceful coach and staff, by learning how "NOT TO BE". These boys have all been taught to "respect your elders, and your coaches", they have looked up to these "heroes" and these men have let them down. We need to pray for the young and upcoming leaders at UNT - athletes and all students, that GOD will wrap HIS arms around them and protect them and LEAD them through all adversities, challenges, and the shortcomings of their coaches. The truth is that Coach DICK told the boys that they were going to be wearing black to "piss off Villarreal." RV HATES black. What kind of a gutless human have we been allowing to coach our kids?? And THEN he tells Brett Vito, the press dwarf who is so far up Coach Dicks butt, that THE KIDS DECIDED!!! What a MORON! And the folks that are congratulatory about New Orleans, certainly didn't see our head coach pucking up his guts on the streets with our kids, DID THEY! Allowing the boys to stay out and party when the opposing teams were all put to bed by THEIR RESPONSIBLE coaches! Well, THE ALMIGHTY works his wonders, and I ALWAYS say, there are NO coincedences...Black for mourning?? how about grieving?? the loss of intelligence. courage, ethics, and morals. The ONLY problem was when they were fired, they weren't told to LEAVE IMMEDIATELY! Let's see what DD & RF have up their sleeve for their final hurrah...Mr. Villarreal, you had better show up at LA next week. WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU to protect our kids!

Just an update - the boys came home from practice saying Flanagin was "pouting" all day. Walking around text messaging on the field during practice, saying in front of the team that he would ONLY talk to the players that "didn't get him fired." GROW THE #$%# UP!. That is what the problem has been this entire season...and, sorry guys, but DD HAS ALLOWED THE BEHAVIOR!
