  1. Here's a link from James L. Rogers Book "The Story of North Texas" page 476. I didn't know that North Texas played home games at The Cotton Bowl in the early '70's under Rod Rust. I know we played Texas Stadium home games over the years, but I've been around North Texas Football since the mid 80's and this is the first time I've read a reference to playing home games at The Cotton Bowl.

    Does anyone have more information on this and who we played at The Cotton Bowl?

  2. So true Old Guy. Last year I saw a video of the club team & the CF couldn't throw the ball to the infield. I was hoping he had a bad throw in practice, but the editor used it. If a handful of guys can play Div. 1 baseball off the club team, good for them. But you are correct in your statement.

    I hope they start making plans/breaking ground for a stadium soon.

  3. Starting at 9PM I35E will have the left land closed between Teasley and Loop 288

    Well this is the beginning of 4 years of traveling I35E headaches, but it is 20 years overdue.

    Closures will be in place from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Tues., Oct. 29 through Thurs., Oct. 31:
    left lane of southbound I-35E between Teasley Lane and Loop 288.
    The left lane of northbound I-35E frontage road from Pockrus Page Road to just of north of the Denton Regional Medical Center entrance. Access to the hospital will be maintained.
    The inside left lane of eastbound Mayhill Road under the I-35E bridge.
