  1. Well fellas it's about that time. I know most of you don't have as much confidence in us as I do, or have way too much confidence in Indiana(looking at you, Vito), but I will go on the record first. I guarantee that we win this game. It's tough to get a true feel for our team considering the opposition we have faced so far, but I have seen some things I liked(Brelan Chancellor, better tackling), and some things I didn't(the Tebow package). After doing my research, I expect both offenses to be able to move the football. I understand that Indiana is a Big Ten team, but this isn't your average Big Ten team. They're rebuilding just like us. Their cupboard was left a lot more bare than ours(they don't have Lance Dunbar). So, I'm going on the record with this score.

    UNT 48

    IU 31

Offensively, Lance Dunbar is back. 200+ all purpose yards with 3+ TDs. Derek Thompson throws for 2 TDs and 200+ yards. Defensively, we give up a lot of yards, but make the key stops when we need to. Our defense registers 4 sacks and 3 turnovers. Oh, and we score a TD on defense or special teams. The Mean Green go to Tulsa with a full head of steam, and with an injury-plagued Tulsa team, look to make it 2-3 heading into the rest of our conference games. This ship is about to turn, and it's about to turn much quicker than most of you think. Just watch.

I want some of this kool-aid

  2. Remember... The school has been sponsoring a there-and-back shuttle for our SBC Tournament games for the past few years.

Don't rule out at least a game or two in Hot Springs, even if you are a broke student.

Oh I definitely took advantage of the shuttle last year and it was the best time I've ever had at a sporting event here. I plan to take the shuttle to Hot Springs again this year if they do it. I'd like to go to either the Tech or Texas game but I'm not sure which one. We probably have a better chance against Tech but I still have a little bit of time to decide.

  3. Vacation, early departure from work, or half-days are already set and confirmed for UTA, Texas, Centennial Classic at Loyola Marymount, and Hot Springs.

May try to do Tech and Mississippi State, too. Plus the weekend roadies to Louisiana and Arkansas.

Jealous! The only game I can probably make is UTA, everything else is too far :( (broke college student)

  4. You're absolutely right. They took us to task during the regular season. Now look back on last season's SBC tournament road.

How sweet payback was in the SBC Tournament. The feeling was right up there with Texas Tech last year. The amount of noise being talked by their women's basketball team was ridiculous.

  5. im currently on internet that doesnt have access to espn 3 nor do i have a way to use someones internet that does. is their anyway i can get around this so i can watch uconns game at vandy last week to see what we are up against this week? any help would be appreciated

Just FYI... Here is how you get around the ESPN 3 restrictions...

Log out of any Yahoo! products (email, my Yahoo!, etc.)

    Go to http://www.att.net/

Click on "Mail" in the leftmost column.

Click on "Create New Account" on the bottom right of the sign-in page.

    Create an att.net email address.

    Go to www.espn3.com

Click on "Remote Access" in the top bar (just to the left of Watch Now)

Select AT&T as your service provider, and login with the att.net email you just created.

Voila, you now have espn3.com access.

  6. For some debating if crowd noise has anything to do with the performance on the field....how about something from someone actually ON the field:

"We came out on fire," Thompson said. "The fans were in it. That was more than what I expected. They did a great job of keeping us in the game. They caused a lot of problems for Houston's offense. I couldn't stand next to a teammate and hear what he was saying."

    HOUSTON HEAD COACH Kevin Sumlin

"We're not very happy with the way we started. It was the first game on the road which is concerning."

"The energy of the crowd was good and a little more than we expected."

"Great energy in that stadium tonight, and we didn't respond well."

    HOUSTON SENIOR QUARTERBACK Case Keenum

"You have to give North Texas a lot of credit. When they got things going in the first half they were tough to beat. They've got a good team over there"

"We just didn't deal with the pressure and atmosphere very well in the first half."
