I hope they change the rules where players can sign at the start of their Senior year, as some coaches have pushed for, according to Footballscoop.com. I think this would help G5s and also protect players.
Kudos El Paso Eagle.

Never thought of that. Guess we should stop posting any updates on the 24 class. What day would you say is it okay to begin?
No not really and the updates have already started in him pledging to play at NT as of yesterday. Between now and December 2023, he may have other schools interested in him and his pledge to NT can change has we have seen before. My point is to be realistic that this talented young man that we need for our offense and our expectations as fans, will not become reality until he signs on December 2023.
Does that clear up any other reservations you may have?- 4

Why would he do that? It would be a demotion and a pay cut.
Salaries in the Canadian Football league are from $60,000 to $100,000. Why would he want to move back to the states to play? For one thing he would get more exposure playing for XFL which is shown on ESPN 2) Closer to home or 3) A lower cost of living depending where he lives. XFL salaries on average are $59,000.

Yes, leave the 2nd most prestigious pro football league, a potential path to Canadian citizenship and $100k to go play in the XFL.
It is $59,000 that they make in the XFL

I wonder why he has not tried out for the XFL

I did not see the name of Keon Johnson in the PWO list. He is a 6'5" 385 lb. tackle from Akron OH.
Sounds like a mammoth guy. Have any info on this guy?

Now why would you say that? When an employee at your company gets a better job offer and moves on do you hope they fail? Grow up.
It depends. As a Small Business person you have trained and invested time and resources because you see him growing the business and then he decides to move on, I would be upset.

His defensive intensity was great, but his offensive spacing/shot making/handling could all use some work. I’m a fan of his, but he wasn’t a real threat on the offensive side of the ball this past season. Hoping he sees this post and realizes what he needs to work on to improve his game. 😝😝
You might want to send this opinion to the Head Coach.

Great win. Do they play UTSA in San Antonio?

I know I said you gotta get used to rooting for the shirt only and expect this kind of crap to happen…but it freaking sucks.
Screw college sports right now. Like actually Eff off.
Ditto. I feel the same way. Is there anything that can be done to change this?

This sucks. I felt like Shorter would leave because I believe he was tampered with last season, but did not expect Nixon.
When you say "tampered", can you explain further?

Looks pretty good. What does our current TE roster look like after losing two of the players at this position?

Offer the kid a scholarship.

You are telling me if you were coaching here, it wouldn’t bother you at all to have a Josh Greer type occupying one of your scholarships for 4 years while knowing he will never make a meaningful positive impact on your football program?
I even forgot who Josh Greer is or was?

Been saying this for a year and a half now. Strongest velocity of any qb we’ve had in the last several years including the baseball player. The man can just flat sling it. I’m pulling for Ruder, you hear me @NWKGREEN? Let’s get it!
I am really happy to hear that because Ruder has gotten a ton of criticism from this board.

I think the OP was simply stating that it would be better to have something built sooner than later even if it required a partnership of sorts to make it happen. Think how successful UTSA has been with their Alamodome partnership. If they didn't have that they would be playing in a high school stadium.
But you have to remember San Antonio has a different culture than the Metroplex and even Houston. There still a loyality in the population and a city of close to two million really does not have any other competitive around it. It is not like the metroplex that is competing with well established schools such as SMU and TCU that we at NT are competiting against.
