I watched the whole game (with my two aggie daughters), and didn't realize that in 80 games played in Austin prior to today, A & M had only won 8 times.

We can second guess the AD's actions till the cows come home. Let's just be thankful for the generosity of the Goldfields and leave it at that.

Guys, let's give this a rest. As soon as they change the nameplate on the practice field to Darrell Dickey Field, notify Mattress Mac the change has been made according to his wishes. At the same time, include a New Stadium Committment packet, with a nice letter expressing our appreciation that we can count on him to help in our stadium funding campaign.

My first reaction was no big deal and that we are being "old timers". I understand that the youth of today like different uniforms and alternate looks.
However, my problem with this and the thing that makes me question the motive was mentioned by FFR. Why was there no NB symbol (sponsor), school name, NCAA or SunBelt logo? If this was planned as a special gift to the team then why not do it right, with a good uniform (like Philly wore yesterday), cleared through the proper channels with the proper logos and school displayed?

Son, do you really think those black jersesy were ordered before the season started? The purchasing department cut an order for 75 or so black jerseys with white numbers. No reference to NT, North Texas, Mean Green, Sun Belt Patch, nothing. Just a white number. Riiiiight!

I'd love to watch Super Jamario run wild again with a complete offensive line (and maybe his even getting some good coaching which many of you have even told me you didn't think he really ever got during the DD era).
Plummer, old buddy, like someone pointed out to me, Jamario was running behind the same offensive line last night that redshirt freshman Evan Robertson ran behind for his 201 yards. Jamario has lost that "something", hopefully just a temporary situation.

Appropriate ending for a team wearing those god awful, worse than junior high school uniforms. Worked well with the play calling.

The black uniforms were ugly and a totally classless act by Dickey. I wouldn't let him make the trip to Monroe.

Although $1 million is a lot of money, it's a drop in the bucket towards a new FB stadium. The money could be used to "start up baseball", but what is going to sustain baseball.
I would use the money to finish up the rest of the facilities.

With a new donor coming on board with a $1+ million donation, why not make sure it's just a tad more than what Mattress Mac gave. Then we can rename the Athletic Center or practice fields at Eagle Point after the new donor, thus trumping Mac's recent request.

That's pretty cold to tell a guy to send a resume while knowing he isn't a contender. Maybe I'm reading this wrong though....
A business practice that we have followed for many years is that anyone who calls or walks in off the street, if they ask for a job application or want to drop off an unsolicitated resume', we gladly oblidge. Maybe old school now, but that's what we do. Been in business 75 years with these old business practices.

What really matters is whether Johnny Jones can learn from the UTA game. As long as he's been coaching at NT you would think he coul make some effective adjustments during the game. You would think.

They generally do this through the blogosphere (hate that word) and usually through their own site. I think I mentioned Cuban's site earlier in this discussion - if not my apologies. I know all sorts of company's have blogs and forums they create and manage. I know companies pay communications specialist to monitor and post on these forums. I do not know of many that engage other people's content as themselves - that is all.
I don't mind if he does it, but I just don't think it should have been the first communication out the door on this. I do like that this board got the answer before the wizards at the DRC.
I'm really not trying to pick fights - I just enjoy discussing this stuff.
RV could easily be "blog challenged" just like me. The message board could be easier for him.

Not sure if this signature win carries Fran over the top, but he sure has one helluva quarterback to get him there. Stephen McGee is one fine QB. Only a Soph, he's got a bright future ahead of him.
