Indeed, his vision is called The smuNT Conspiracy...

Hey, animals are people too...seriously I am in PETA...People who Eat Tasty Animals, who's with me!!! [insert Dennis Leary stand-up routine here]

My vote is for UNT-D Quoner...there is only one Quoner
-
people we are getting way off topic...this thread is about DD's spin job...Where's Bill O'Reilly when you need him
-
you intreperet your way but I think now he is backswimming.
I agree, but at least we have some backswimming...
So is DD saying that the SMU fans loved the program win or loss while he was there? and Kst? I think I remember an article awhile back in the FWstar-telegram about DD and his dad at Kst and it basically said that his family was heckled all the time until DD's senior year when they finally won some games...

I can't believe that Flannigan was not the hot Offensive Coordinator.
He was only hot in one game...too bad it was a fan in the crowd he was hot at
-
I wouldn't take his brother Ron Mexico

At this time with our current coaching staff I don't see next season being any better!
We have a new DC that can actually make adjustments, that is a huge difference from last year!
-
Basically, I just think it's funny that we get told to not take DD's comments personally when the whole reason he is making those comments is because he is taking the board personally...or maybe he really didn't like the cupcake someone on GMG gave him
-
How do you expect future generations to support NT when all you do is talk about how much NT sucks?
I agree, which is great when DD tells his players:
"In my 46 years of being around college football, North Texas is the worst, the worst, THE WORST, place that I have ever witnessed this type of division. It's probably the worst in the country."
If that doesn't make people Pro-UNT I don't know what will....the SMUNT conspiracy continues...

"The fans at Gomeangreen will feed you, and they'll give you cupcakes, but, as soon as anything goes wrong and you lose a game, those same f***ers will be calling you losers, they'll be calling you woosies, and they'll be calling you worthless."
#1. Who fed him cupcakes? Maybe he is only talking about those people?
#2. If he is talking about all GMG fans, then have them build the new football stadium themselves and this F***er will put his donation check back into his wallet...

Geez, this is exactly the reason I don't lurk here in the off season. Wish I hadn't had the time today.
If you people have never heard a coach give a speech like this to his players before you obviously have never been around organized team sports before.
Be thankful you have the access you do, and if you don't like the speeches or foul language you are going to hear, then stay in the stands out of ear shot. If you are going to get your feelings hurt this easily then start following chess or tidliwinks.
If you don't think coaches all over the country are motivating their players with this stuff then you don't know sh$$ from shineola.
Some of you really need to GET A LIFE ..
There's no reason to defend your husband like that...
last time I checked most football coaches use "hate the opponent, hate your rival" not "hate the fans, their fickle"

Really hard to judge since they were divided , as was the rest ot the squad .
Really? It seemed to me that the majority of the starters were on Green and I think the score reflected that...

I'm proud of JI for hanging in there these past two seasons. No one has given him much credit for his play at QB. But I'll give him his props. He knows he's caught up in a numbers game. But instead of getting down on himself or the team he seems to have hung in there, taken the criticisms, constructive or not, and tried his best and last night it paid off for him. That shows true spirit and I like it. He's a good kid and I'm proud of him.
Rick
Indeed, I think in a way I would consider him the most improved (or Isaac Thomas). He has started coming along and it's good to see him make some nice throws and not have a run first mentality...

This is what happens when you change the color of our school
-
I was talking with TI Green about this yesterday, but a good first step would be for NT to start doing what this board has been doing for years and that is be the PRIMARY source of information for a lot of people, not to mention how much this board does to get people excited about the programs and school...

3? Then I must have been blind. I only remember 1 TD, on the first drive of the scrimmage....after that, all I remember were big hits. That's all I really remember about him from last season as well. I guess I just cringe when he comes in b/c he's SO much slower and immobile than Meager and Wilson. Sure, he'll connect on a few plays, but I just sit there holding my breath if there's any kind of rush on b/c you KNOW he's going to get nailed.
I think one of those TDs was a rushing TD that was the very last play of the scrimmage

It seems some people are convinced that behind every move their is some sort of conspiracy.
and it all involves SMU

I NEED SOME MEAN GREEN FOOTBALL!!!!

well, till we know who it is let's just call him Zorro or the Lone Ranger...

the SMUNT conspiracy continues...

Sounds like the Branding Committee needs to insure what "they" voted in is what "is" being purchased. Typical blind leading the blind.
P.S. - I expect another logo-gate in about 5 years when all the big-dogs are gone.
It is because they picked a color that can only be easily reproduced digitally...

one big fat sumo DT...

2005 Football DVD
I know we all want to forget the 2005 season, but have to take the good with the bad. I'm interested to see how they spin last season into an entertaining DVD.
Then you go right ahead and spend your money then...
Time to Think about 2-0 start to 2006!

Basically, for those of us who have watched the Dickey era it is not a question of the players, we love the players...it is the coaching staff that has a "play not to lose" instead of a "play to win" attitude against big opponents. If you listen to the press-conferences and watch the games you can see it clearly. This is also why DD's OoC record is so poor, but the same attitude gets our team healthy for a run at conference.
DD's game plan for Texas will be in this order:
priority #1 - escape with no injuries
priority #2 - keep score respectable
priority #3 - solidify the players to start against SMU
Some people find this acceptable, some people do not...
