i understand that booger had his brother in the NFL already, which helped him... but if he can get two shots in the NFL, i really beleve that Cobbs can get at least one. Patrick is much more of an impact player than booger was, no offense intended at all to booger, is just facts. Im sure Cobbs will get his chance.
GMG!!!
I'm sorry I just spewed, what did you say?!
That's like blasphemy without the religion part!

Being from NOLA and a Saints fan, I was ecstatic that Bush fell to the Saints. Your argument regarding Ricky Williams and the Saints getting better is off because the Saints had to give up so many picks to get him that it destroyed any chance of getting better with other picks.
The problem that I have with M. Williams is that he disappeared during all of his big games. Sure, he has all of the measurable you want in an athlete like size, speed, and strength, but I really didn't like that in actual "big-ish" games, he wasn't there.
Against Virginia tech 1 solo tackle 2 assists.. no sacks..
Florida state this year one tackle half a sack
Boston college 4 tackles no sacks
eastern kentucky 1 tackle no sacks
Georgia Tech 2 tackles no sacks
Clemson 1 tackle 3 asst no sack
He wasn't even listed as a top 10 DE during preseason, his teammate was

It was only after the combine that you see him shoot up through the ranks. Now I don't profess to have game tapes on him or to be an NFL scout and he may turn out to be another Peppers, but with that many question marks I have my doubts that he is going to be a game breaker. I guess we'll see.
Couldn't I use the same argument for Bush? Maybe I am wrong, but how did Bush do against the stronger teams? Didn't most of his yards come as a third down back and as a returner?

He is probably also to blame for high gas prices
I knew it! It all makes sense now...

Dr. Pohl is the best thing that has happened to North Texas in a very long time. We will miss him a LOT.
Indeed...soon he will be replaced by someone who can further the smuNT conspiracy...
-
I like the pick because:
#1 - trading down is not easy, it costs too much for people to trade up for the #1 spot and it appears nobody was willing
#2 - They already have a solid running back in Davis, Bush would have been an expensive 3rd down back / return man
#3 - Williams immediately improves their defense in a need area
plus I would assume that Bush lied to the Texans about this whole house/family/agent fiasco and the Texans do not trust him anymore

I do not condone violence.
I do...carry on...

Plumm are you incinuating that Judge Jackson's plan to develop UNT Dallas is a conspiracy that will ultimately lead to the downfall of UNT Denton? Those are very serious charges.
I do agree that the focus in Dallas could hinder new stadium plans in the short run. If UNT Dallas does take off it will help in the long run.
I just hate the way our alums are so distrustful of our own leaders. Its ludicrous to think that a man like Judge Jackson who has had by all accounts a stellar career in public service would try to harm UNT.
Why are UNT alums so paranoid?
If you understood the smuNT conspiracy you would not ask such questions...
-
but what side will LJ sit on? That is the question....
-
I have a bad feeling about this.
Wasn't that said in a movie called The EMPIRE Strikes Back?
-
Of course I think LJ probably has a hand in the recent stagnation of Athletics here.
That's right, the smuNT conspiracy marches on...

so I guess "Mayday" Meager is out since he is not even on the poll?
I want to vote for the entire O-line, but since I can't I voted for Jamario because a great Jamario can make an average line look good...

Well, the NYJ's colors are kelly green & white.
just go to unt.edu and tell me if you think that color is the same as what the NYJets wear...
-
that's not the new NT color, my wife works for housing and I only wish that were the color they were passing out...
-
No Kidding, I don't care if we win the National Championship I still hate the new color...we went from Mean Green to NFL Europe Green...

I think I remember both Cardwell and Pruitt getting cut before the season started and then they re-signed Cardwell later...

I would be concerned if UNT was blown out of conference games and did little in the way of recruiting. Such is not the case.
preach on...

times have changed and i don't see NT in it any time soon!
That's because football season is months away

I think he is good, I just don't think that he is the Barry Sanders / Gale Sayers clone that everyone wants to compare him to...and the Texans greatly needed D-line help not help at running back...
