  1. God be with you and your son. You'all will be added to our prayer circle in KY.
  2. My prayers are with you and your family. If you ever feel the need to talk to someone who has been down the hard road you're on just send an email...
  3. I know a highly skilled, motivated and large (6'7" x 340lb) late term JUCO OL player who could be a productive part of the Mean Green team. He is finishing up his academic requirements now so he can report to wherever for the beginning of fall practices. As a bonus, he is a 4 for 3 transfer...
  4. It seems like you can't trust any teams published ht. and wt. on players anymore. I visited the Bengals summer camp last year and found the same to be true for the pros. Does anybody have any idea exactly why Mr. Stanley left the team; and was it his idea, the coaches, or by mutual agreement?
  5. How big is Chris? Nice pictures, thanks.
  6. Papa Johns Stadium in Louisville, KY. Every seat has a back and the seating is very close to the field. The basic layout is very much like NT's could be with the Athletic Center being at one end zone allowing the players to walk right out of the locker rooms for the game. Most comfortable mid-level venue I've been to.
  7. Not yet. He did finally make it back home from California last Sunday. He is biding his time since he can't join a team until fall because of his late graduation from Jr. College anyway. He really liked NT, hopefully something will happen there for him. The back-up plan is still to take Louisville up on their walk-on offer. We think the Cardinals have a legit chance at a National Championship in the next couple of years and that's exciting. Playing for a winning program is important to him, his JUCO team only lost one game in two years in California (they never lost a game he was playing in). According to his coaches other opportunities will probably open up for him after spring practice is over. After evaluating OLines typically recruiters sign-up the remaing JUCO OL to get solid depth. There aren't too many rivals two star, 6'-7", 340 lb., academically qualified, OL left out there. And - he has 4 years left to play 3 once the medical redshirt for last season is claimed. Thanks for asking...
  8. Played thru high school, lucky to have been part of the 1972 KY State Championship team. Unlucky enough to get my tibia broken in practice thus ending my linebacking "career". I wasn't big enough or talented enough to have played D1 ball but I still like to indulge in "if only I didn't break the leg" day dreams...I miss the game, the comradarie and the excitement but a new generation of my family is carrying the torch now so I guess you could say I'm just the old "Athletic Supporter" now...
  9. I have a son who is a late JUCO grad, infact he is leaving Ca. tomorrow to come home. He has been talking to the coaches at UNT, they seem interested. I actually was on the Uof L board and read a post that mentioned that the mean green was starting up spring practice and I wanted to confirm. Thanks for the information. JM
  10. I'm new to this board so forgive my ignorance but I read in another post that the mean green are beginning spring practice next week. This seems really early to me. Why do they start spring drills so early? And does anybody know if they are the first D1A program to begin this early? Thanks JM
  11. JUCO OL - James Maddox, 6'7" - 340 lb - from the 2004 Juco National Champions College of the Canyons in Southern California. May still be available, tripped Louisville last week. Converted from DL is a bada$$ OL, very agressive.
