Just wanted to say thanks to the students who made the signs, passed out the pom-poms, stood up and cheered, and showed up.

It was a crappy weather nite so the alum/denton-ites attendance was very low.

Keep it up and thanks again from this alum.

[Next Seasons Mens Bball schedule]

This schedule is a huge improvement over what we've been used to seeing. 12 non-conference games and 5 are at home. That is a big improvement. I'm more used to 12 games with 3 at home like last year.

Plus the schedule is a bit more balanced. Some easy wins and I like seeing teams like the Bonnies on our schedule. Good tournament type teams that should test us that are not in the top 20.

[Mean Green Signs Mike Jones]

Coach Jones obviously likes the 6' 7' guy who can handle the ball shoot and rebound. Kind of like the Illinois team back in the late '80's who had like 7 guys all in the 6' 7" to 6' 8" range that used to whip teams.

One thing very exciting was to see DeGrate grab a rebound then lead a fast break down the court. This it not something I can remember seeing at NT since Tony Worrell. A big guy who can move and handle the ball.

I've only seen the exhibition game but it looked like what you stated is the case Julep. Although I thought Unjel played very well why he was in.

Ron Harris seems to have a great upside while Ty seems raw at this point.

I was surprised that Roniger was essentially the backup at point. He seems a bit slow but perhaps he's still adjusting.

Degrate seems to have great tools.

The team is no doubt stronger than last year.

I too noticed a majority of the team at the TCU game. I really can't wait to see what the team looks like. The monumental improvements the team made last year should really carry over with JJ having a full year with the team.

[Green Flags for the Flag Corp Campaign]

Having flags the same color as your uniform is foolish. The idea is for them to be seen and blending in is a bad idea. Compound that with the fact the field is green and green flags are just a bad idea. These students work very hard during the week to present a show at halftime and there hard work should be seen.

A good solution to the school spirit issue would be to have UNT flags for when the band enters, or leaves the field plus pre-game even but let them show off their hard work during their half time show.
