  1. Jackson had a big game and made some long gains out of short passes.

i noticed one huge drop. not impressed. Several players stepped up on the big stage but several looked lost, especially the entire defensive backfield. Poor tackling or plain whiffs, and #10, whoosh.

  2. Let's not kid ourselves; UCLA is not a good football team. They had 35 yards of rushing and 2 picks. Their defense from last year was absolutely gutted. I agree that Kansas State won't be a pushover, but UCLA isn't a good measuring stick. They'd finish towards the middle, at best, in the Sun Belt.

sure. you have way too much faith in the sunbelt.

  4. But it's really just all about Texas sports in particular, and not just UNT.

no, this is a student radio station for and about the university of north texas. if you want to highlight some pro sports stories or some results of important national college games or bowl games fine. but a story about ut scheduling notre dame when they have already played each other 10 times in the past and nd is not even top 25? bs. some internal texas or nd fan stuck that story on there on purpose.

  5. Danget, I knew you guys would respond to something like that, but even though I am considered a student writer, I know that if it is just a rumor, I wouldn't write it.

It is true, you have my word on that. By true I mean I know for a fact that's what the coaches want.

Sorry for the edit, I forgot you guys were asking for a source. My source asked to speak on condition of anonymity because he is not really supposed to talk about the subject.

thanks for the story. not a bad effort.

i was pissed however at seeing the longwhorn logo and nd logo in the story below yours. why does kntu advertise future games for the horns? they need no help with attendance. why not mention future unt games with iowa, florida, georgia as a story instead; drum up interest in the campus team instead of one in austin? thanks, rant over.

  6. I watched it...but I also watched Middle Tenn, Army, ULL and ULM where in each game he threw 3 interceptions. We cannot win games no matter how much our defense improves if games like this occur again. I don't bash Reilly but I cannot see how you are so quick to thumbs down a guy for saying what so many are thinking....when do we get a star QB like Hall again?

hall was not recruited as a star qb. he was a db given a chance to try qb first. riley became injured trying to do too much. but he doez not stink as a qb as houston put it. most losses were caused by the defense.

I had a meeting at the beginning of the month at the Athletic center. I was told that UofH is the opener for the new stadium. Also, they mentioned that a Big East opponent would be the second home game in the new stadium. They did not name the team, because the contract was not finalized.
