I posted on the recruiting forum about a possible use for the scholarship that has become available.
i always see the recruiting forum mentioned....what is this? i have bben on this site since november and have not once ever seen this? somebody help?

Additionally, on July 1, the UNT Dallas Campus announced a new scholarship program called the “Stars & Stripes Fund.” This assistance fund for the families of military service members will fill the gap for our patriots until the new GI Bill enacted by Congress in June takes effect in August 2009. The scholarship may be taken by a veteran service member who has exceeded his or her GI Bill benefits, and the spouse and children of soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. They have paid for freedom; the UNT Dallas Campus believes they should be able to afford an education.
I think this is a great idea...being able to help out veterans and thier families get a great education! Way to go UNT-Dallas!

ya i got the job last week, really excited, have really wanted to be an RA and the fact that i got Victory, with it being right next to the fields and the AC made it even greater! ive never been so pumped to get back to school, plus the fact that i quit my job at wal-mart means i no longer leave campus on weekends and can see every fooball game this year! G....M....G!
I might just make every resident i have to put up a poster in thier room!...j/k...wish i could though. but my residents will be well informed on why they should vote for a new stadium!...i know housing is behind the Athletic department 100%

The 2008 football media guide has some of the recent new stadium drawings in it on page 16: "the Future of North Texas Football." The description mentions "...a first phase to include seating for approximately 33,000 spectators with the potential to expand to 50,000 in the future." The donor guide "Building Champions One Piece at a Time" also has some of the same drawings. Yes, these are different from the ones a few years ago that had the video with it. A few samples of the new drawings as posted before:

i will let you know in 3 days....im now an RA at Victory Hall and i move in on Thursday...its cool to be in the hall right next to the pratice fields and athletic center!

Im really excited about or Women's Basketball Team this year and in the future......Coach Stephans really knows whats shes doing recruiting wise...hopefully shes as good with the team on the court!

Didn't RV make reference on the podcast to two players coming back to the team who were not on the roster last year? Do we know who they are yet?
RV also made reference that he had to turn down a home/home with Louisville starting in 2009; no reason given but it must have been a conflict with a $ game we already had set for next year. Rats, that would have been fun to see Louisville in Denton again!
Ya...he said he turned it down becuase we had already set our 2009 schedule....

I didnt go as i was in Dallas getting ready to leave at 6 am for Talgating for the Pats VS Cowgirls Game......the Pats game ruled...but i missed the best UNT play of the year in the only home game i didnt go to.....

I Got 48 out of 50......the first gold helmet i thought it was Navy but i was wrong....i also missed thewhite helmet with the orange M on it...i have no clue who that is!

best 2 minutes of a football game i think i have ever seen.....touchdown...onside recovered....touchdown with missed 2pt conv...another onside recovered....41 yard fg made....then let up a 60 yard kick return but block the FG to win....absolutly amazing!
