Anyone..... Anyone can do a better job then Mendoza. It cant be that hard to find a DC that will only give up 30 a game. Hell 30 points a game would cut our points against this season in half.

I was at the game tonight and the defense might as well have laid down and let the other team score. Im sorry but scoring 49 points scored in a half and we lose is pretty bad. The really bad part of the game to me or best telling was with 24 seconds left in the first half we let a running team go 50 yards in 11 seconds for a touchdown. I mean they are a running team and they scored with time running out in the half. I want to give Mendoza the benefit of the doubt but he was quick to rub some UNT fans face in the fact his D fense played well in one game (See FFR episode). We let Oklahoma score 79 exceptable, 66 to Arkansas exceptable, but not exceptable is 45 to one win SMU, 48 to M Tenn, oh and dont forget he had 7 turnovers against Troy and his D fense still gave up 45. So brings the question how many stops has this defense had this year. Im betting not many. MENDOZA needs to go, he has proven he cant cut the mustard. We can have a great offense but with him a DC it wont matter. Were not playing basketball here. It was a great game tonight and great to see that many fans in the stands. GO MEAN GREEN!!!!!

We have done nothing in the SBC in football in several years. We won the basketball tourney last year but we did that as the 4 or 5 seed. The NIT appearences should not be what you hang your hat on. It should be going to the NCAA tourney. The softball program is not great either. If you are not great in Football you need to be really good in all the other sports. UNT right now is not that at the current moment. I hope that one day UNT can compete with the big boys but right now we are not at that level. If you think we are then i beleive your jsut being a homer. Again I want the best for UNT athletics but im also realistic in the fact that in this age of college sports we are a have not. I dont use that as an excuse for our programs that is just the way i see it. I feel that even after all the big schools take the kids that are supossed to be great there are plenty of players in the state of Texas for UNT to be sucessful. We may never compete with Texas or Oklahoma on an every year basis but wouldnt it be great to do it once in a while.

As long as our athletic programs keep struggling in the SBC we arent going anywhere. I think we need to slow down by wanting to be in CUSA. Lets try winning in the SBC for a few years in more then one sport then, we can maybe think about moving to another confrence. Lets experience some winning times before we go looking for better teams to play. No one wants a team that cant win in the minor leagues. Say what you want UNT is in the minor leagues just like most of the programs in D-1A.

Can anyone tellme what happened with FFR.

It means that no matter what UT does the message board blows up. I have a buddy that is on the orangebloods site (so this is hear say) but he said after the national title game that some people were complaining. They should have won by more and found more thing wrongs with the game. They just won the national title that is what im talking about. We won our first game of the season. Instead of calling for the DC head lets be happy with the win. We get one in the W column. This in my opinion should have been our 3 win. You are also right. The reason my name is Vizza4QB on this board is because my original reason for getting on this board was to see many of thes poeple on here tell us how GREAT Meager so i just picked a name. I think Vizza is going to be a good QB here at UNT. I hope the kid does great things i think he can take us to OU or Texas and play well. He is that kind of kid from what i am told. Also if you look at the number of post i have on this board you will see that I am new to posting on UNT sports.

I admit me and Smitty have not seen eye to eye on many subjects on this board especially QB. I have to say he is right on this one. Do i strong feelings about the coaching staff sure i do and from what i have seen so far the defense has been a disappointment but then i realize its game 5. These guys need some time. Just like a rookie moving to the NFL. Most of the these coaches need some time to adjust.... no one in the hall of fame and no one job less. The defense made a huge stride this week and the offense took a step back. Overall we just need to sit back and see how this season plays out. Also Give it time we watch Dickey for three years sucka nd we lived with it. SMITTY nice post for a change No offense just messing with you

how about we call it a great play and leave it at that. we won how does everyone on here always have bad things to say. you are not at UT so stop acting like you are. lets be happy with the win. its the first under the Dodge. also can anyone tell me what happened with FFR and Mendoza? I have seen some post that said some words were exchanged.

This was a great win for the team tonight. The defense played very well. Now we just need to get them to play that way all the time. Mendoza deserves the credit for getting them to play well. I have been very disappointed with the way the Defense has played all season and atleast for tonight i am willing to give the man his due. so here it is MENDOZA your defense played very well. What happened to the pass blocking we had early in the season. It looks liek the O line forgot that they had to protect a QB. I hope we dont get our QB of the future killed before the future gets here. great win tonight fellas lets keep the dream alive. GMG

I have had enough fun taking shots at Meager this season. Thought i was going to feel really bad this morning having take up for Vizza struggling with jitters to start the game. This post is just to say I have been disappointed with the D Fense or lack there of as much as anyone. We all have to remember no matter how bad the D Fense has looked its just the 5th game of the season. I think all the coaches know and Mendoza especially knows that if we are going to win any games this season or next its going to be because the D Fense is playing better. Look at L'ville they have an awesome offense but you have to have some D Fense as they have proven. I think next season with more then 17 days Dodge will have us some more talent on D. Lets give this team some time i see the D Fense just as i see Vizza, with some seasoning it will only get better. HOME GAME this week FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!

I think these two statements might be the best thing ever posted on this board. If this team is going to struggle then lets struggle with a freshman. I like how Meager can beat up teams like SMU and lose and everyone thinks its ok. That is part of the problem with UNT athletics they EXCEPT losing. With Meager we have no change at winning OOC games or IC games (in conference). By definition of my login you can tell who i think should be playing QB. I just think that if you look at the team they all want to see Vizza play personally i think that says all that needs to be said they have not confidence in Meager plain and simple. Oh well heres to getting Vizza on the field sooner rather then later..... GO MEAN GREEN..... got a winnable game this weekend YAHOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Well i believe that Dodge said that it came down to the final few days of camp to se ehwo the starter would be. I have seen the aweful QB play that is D Meager for 3 years now. Im not Knee Jerking im calling it like i see it... The kid couldnt start for a high school team these days.
