He was up there again today with the One O'Colck lab band. They're getting ready for some Jazz festival that 's coming up. Good to see NT in the news again.

Saw on Channel 8, the Why Guy was up in Denton at the New Research Facility. Today there is a public unveiling of a couple of new high powered microscopes we received, that will assist in Nano Technology research. Pretty exciting to see this other aspect of NT getting some media attention.

I like the wave.

I'm there with my 2yr old.
I'm sure I'll be yelling a lot......maybe not at the game, but I'll be yelling!

how did we do against them earlier this year?
-
who won?

Any other word on this? Shoudl GMG.com host a mini Fry St Fair and all get together to drink green beer? We don't need no stinkin Delta Lodge!

Graduated in 2000 and had to go with Josten's. Was upset at the time at the lack of choice, but I like it now. I get comments on it all the time.

How was attendance?

I went to the Big 12 tournament at the AAC last year, and I think Texas or OSU does this. I wasn't really cheering for any team, so I did this as well, and their fans really seemed to get fired up, especially in the first half. The 2nd hald didn't really work because the other team scored immediately.

I watched the game at home
Did I miss it? What channel was it on?

I saw this on the Channel 4 9 o'clock news. The interviews for both sides didn't do much to help NT's image I thought.

somebody get a picture of this at the next game! It sounds hysterical!

The Musers are off in the morning as well. I hate this time of year, Norm gives me major tired head.

I noticed on the jerseys that it looked like we had an interlocked NT with the star like the Exes logo. Is this what we'll be going to? Or has it been like that and I just noticed it?

isn't this game on TV?

anyone know what the attendance was Saturday?

Here are my thoughts on the game from someone who only makes one or two games a year....
First - The atmosphere was 10 times better than I've seen it before. The Pit Crew had a GREAT showing especially since it's their first year in existance. I can't wait to see that section grow, and I enjoyed watching them almost as much as the game.
Second - The ticket sales really pi$$ed me off. They only sell tickets by the section, and then randomly pull them out of a stack. I figured we'd just be able to sit wherever we wanted in that section, but the ushers were telling everyone in their assigned seats. I have an 8 month pregnant wife and a two year old daughter. We really just wanted to sit toward the back on the aisle, but were given tickets halfway down in the middle of the row. We ended up moving to seats we liked better, but were forced to move as people came to sit in their seats. I don't have a problem with sitting in my assigned seat if I'm given a choice of where that will be. We ended up sitting in the upper section where you can sit wherever you want, but it got the game off to a bad start for us.
Third - We tried to tailgate, and actually did get a couple of free hotdogs (Thanks to everyone who put that together), but it was pretty cold outisde to sit around, so we went in early.
I was thinking, maybe in the future, we could set up a kind of tailgating zone down one of the sides of the Pit, and then use some kind of screen, like on the football practice fields, to block out the wind. Maybe in a more enclosed area, it would be warmer, and would make it feel like there were more people because they'd all be grouped together. I know that'd cost money, but I was just trying to think of ways to make the Tailgating work a little better in cold weather.

I would recommend contacting each sorority and fraternity on campus and ask for help.
That's a pretty good idea. I'd pick a good looking girl and a good looking guy that are already in the Pit Crew and have them go together to the meetings. It may be a little late, since they all have their meetings on Mondays and they may only have one meeting left for the semester, but it'd help to get your name out. You could take a flyer with the Pit Crew info to give out, as well as a schedule of the home games.
Maybe for the TCU game you could call the Presidents and just make them aware. You could probably get a list of their numbers from IFC.

Any promoting being done on campus for this weeks TCU game?

I'm coming with my wife and daughter. We're hoping to get a group to go with us.

How was the Pit Crew?

Are Volleyball games in the SuperPit? Or the Men's Gym?

It's fun to just be at the Fair on TX/OU weekend. The crowds are nuts, and you've got fans of both walking around talking smack to each other. Even when the game is going, the place is still packed with fans who couldn't get in.

there's an article on him in the NT Daily today. It said he had played on the team last fall, but stopped playing to take a welding job to help support his family.
