Someone said that you could go ahead and make donations for the stadium fund, you just had to mark them as such. Is there any way to find out if there's any money in there? And if so how much? I'm sure it wouldn't be too much, but I'd be interested to know anyway.

I think it's a great idea. My wife and I are always trying to think of ways to smuggle them into the stadium (usually we use the diaper bag). It would be so much more fun to make a tradition of buying the green ones before kick off. My 3 yr old daughter loves getting to throw them......that keeps her entertained half the night which allows me to watch more of the game.

When is the next Flag Football game? Maybe we should have another one and try to raise money for the program? Hopefully I'd be able to play this time.
-
I think you probably keep running to get your team some more experience doing what they'll need to do in conference.
-
My suggestion is get there earlier. jk
My family and I got there around 3:30, sat in the same line, and then had to end up parking behind Clark. Really wan't that bad of a walk, but we had a bunch of stuff that we didn't take because it would have been to much hassle. We've decided that next time we'll try getting there 3 or 4 hours early (after the Tulsa game - parking may not be a problem). I think it's a great problem to have, though it did keep me from drinking for an extra 30 minutes.

What about the freshman running back Robertson? (#22 I think) Does anyone know if he was redshirted?

Attendance for Troy will be low because it's a Tuesday night game. We don't have the fan base yet to pull in a big crowd on a week night...even if we had beat Tulsa.
I think the crowds will keep coming because of how much fun the pregame is. The more people that discover that, the bigger our attendance will become.

GAME TIME! ! !
WHO YOU WITH?!?!

It's nice to see they have something in the paper about the football team. Hopefully some folks will read it and decide to come to the game.

That's all I have to say about that.

When my daughter was born 3 Septembers ago, we were faced with the same decision around Homecoming since she was only about 2 or 3 months old. We ended up bringing her. Really it doesn't change a whole lot, it's just like carrying a football around all day that you can't throw (according to my wife).
You'll be fine, and we can always use the attendance. I make sure the ticket takers count both of my baby girls.

I love that they refer to us as "The Evil Empire". We should bring back the Star Wars movie music.

Do we know if there will be any recruits there this Saturday?

I hope Boomer is warmed up, cause it's going to get a lot of use.

If yall were a condom you would be ultra-sensitive.
And lubricated. Wait, what are we talking about?

i was thinking it might have something to do with Meager being a Freshman, and Cobbs was essentially a coach last year, so he'd be a great person to have out there to calm everyone down and keep the QB focused.
-
I think it was a pass that was tipped and then caught by Nwigwe.
-
So is he eligible this year? Or does he have to sit a year?
-
I'd suggest getting there 2-3 hours before hand. It normally is $10 per car to park, I think I read in my ticket info that to park an RV is like $50, but you might call the ticket office to check.

"It will be interesting to see how our D line stacks up against less talented O lines. The key will be getting a lead to force them to pass. Our pass rush is much improved this year with Evans, but unfortunately we haven't been able to force teams to pass. I'm sure UNT will get there yards, but I don't see them running over us. Its taken exceptional backs making exceptional plays to get yards on us. I don't think these guys are ever close to the first 2 guys we've faced.
Getting the lead is the key though"
I guess it's time to head over and introduce ourselves to the Tulsa board.
-
I do feel a little bad for their players, as all they know is losing to UNT. I wonder if this is the death blow to their Coach's career at MTSU?
If you read their message board it sure is.

My thoughts - The first half was TOUGH! I was not very enthusiastic as to the rest of the season to say the very least. Having had a whole 20 minutes to think about the outcome though here I go.
Every aspect of our game got BETTER as the game went on. - Let's not forget there are a bunch of new guys here. They need time to gel. Not having our first game hurt us tremendously coming into this one.
The defense seeemed to get it together as a group towards the end. Individual play was HUGE with the 5 turnovers.
I think the game went as everyone thought it would as for our offense. Everyone knew we'd need to run the ball so they stacked the line. Meager (which never got rotated with Phillips by the way) performed well for a freshman. He seemed to struggle on the long balls a little - underthrowing on most of them. great catch by "The Mighty" Quinn. (Who knew he was "violently ill" all week???) I liked that they threw the ball to Cobbs - that play seemed to work well.
Wish I had seen more J-MO but that's why they pay the coaches. Cobbs had a good night considering all of the above. Stacked line and inexperienced QB make running hard.
Having replaced our safeties I thought they did an outstanding job!
I'm not too concerned with Tulsa. They had a decent showing against OU, but so did TCU. OU may be on a down year, let's not completely over rate them. We now have our first week to observe and make adjustments. I think we'll DEFINITLY be better next week and I'd expect more passing.
All in all it was ugly, but it was a win which is all that matters. Great way to start the season. So much was riding on this one, and the guys did a good job rising up to the challenge. Their confidence level just went up a notch which is good for a young group. I kind of look at it as our first half was like our first game - adjustments were made and we came out and made some plays in the second half.
On another note. I wish a speedy recovery on the wide receiver (C. Henry) who broke his leg. That's the one part of football that always brings you down is knowing that a talented receiver won't be playing again for a while if at all.
WAY TO GO MEAN GREEN!
Beat the crap out of TULSA! ! !

I guess they are kind of related. I studied dead people, and now I help people get their stuff together to deal with death........might be a stretch.
