Def depleted at the moment. I think Morris and co. plan on using TE more than in the past. But a player like Brandon give you some position flex. At his size he could stick at TE but also could put on weight and turn into a tackle like Jacob Brammer.
TheReal_jayD I was thinking Tackle— mainly b/c it seems as though we are struggling to get true high end tackles to commit. We seem to get IOL but not tackles. If this is the plan, brilliant.

Will depend more on our defense than our offense.

Any final stat lines for the QBs, and other positions?
Can we bring in some kicking competition in the fall?
Doesn’t the Baylor transfer get here in the summer?

Okay so a couple things to make mention of.
1) Our HC is no longer here, as well as all the assistants (Besides Ross) and most of the players have excited stage left. The NIT is a huge accomplishment. But it is not parade worthy. Also the athletic department has enough trouble getting people to arrive to the actual games. How many would show up for a parade? When you have literally only one staff member remaining. And maybe only a handful of players that would even show up.
2) Reason to have it all one day and not have 2 pressers and a "celebration". Because we have two brand new coaches that need to assembly complete staff as well as get on the road recruiting. Having the pressors combined helps allow the coaches to do that ASAP as well as allow media and fans one trip to Denton. Announcing HC of basketball at lunch on a wednesday is no different that announcing HC of football or signing day presser at lunch on a Wednesday.
3) There will be another celebration. It maybe a ring celebration or something during football season. But I think we can all agree that it is more urgent to assemble staff and hit road recruiting.
All good points but this is something that you discuss and have in place ahead of time. The coaches are under contract and players have to travel back with the team (they are students after all). Considering it was a charter they could have flown back on Friday afternoon and then team bus from airport (size of the charter and they could have landed at Denton airport) to Super Pit for a celebration/party. Then released to do what is needed afterwards (GM to Tech w/ Saturday announcement).

I don't think TP has a single shot this second half. If your best shooter doesn't score, you are not winning.
Well, normally yes but wrong this time.

I saw somewhere that he was out for the rest of the tournament. Not that we have any right to them, but I don’t believe any details were released.
Vitro actually tweeted it a couple of days ago.

Just an unbelievable win for the FAU program and the conference. I think they can win the whole damn thing!

I am not denying, but for those of you claiming it is a done deal ( @Andrew @UNT Family Man @p_phelps, where are you getting your information?
Never said it was a done deal! But I do believe it to be true… where there is smoke there is usually fire.
Honestly, I hope I am completely wrong. But I do believe if we had lost the game against Oklahoma State that it would’ve been announced the next day. Now that we have a longer period of time I hope that Jared and his team can make a move.
But… In six years he’s won CBI championship, our first NCAA tournament game win , had two players named conference player of the year, and in consecutive years five and six he’s had the most wins in university history. We still have only 3500 people attending games.
$$, facilities, and support in the stands = if he doesn’t leave now he will soon. Unless

Can we freak’n pay our coach??!!! We have 45k+ students and how many 100’s of thousands of alumni— if we are to be big time then we need to pay 💰 him big time.
Double his salary to 2.5 million. Get a new arena built 6k plus suites. Maybe he stays. If we think small then we will be small. How much is the former OU guy making at Houston?

Love that it is a “major” piece. Could it be a 4⭐️?? Or is it a OT that is highly recruited? A Qb or something else?
