No. Art Briles, regardless of your opinion on him, will bring massive - and i mean large scale, massive - negative publicity with him wherever he gets hired in football. I want UNT to propel to the next level as a program just as much as any of us but there are a million avenues to doing so that don't require that luggage.

*scrambles to think of rice puns* Uhhhhh uhhhh well as good as he is you don't want too many cooks in the kitchen
Um
This guy probably doesn't have to "wheat" his turn for the starting job
What's he gonna do? Send Rice to the Stir-Fry Bowl?
Anyway, that's enough posting online for me today.

Having to choose between Ruder and an experienced Aune is FAR superior to having to choose between a less experienced Aune and Jason Bean. The odds that they land on one of the two as a stable for the offense is much higher than it was last year.

this assumes everyone stays healthy.Sept. 4 Northwestern State - UNT wins along the 41-14 lines, we get a clear picture of Ruder’s abilities to lead the offense
Sept. 11 at SMU - SMU sucks and I’ll never ever predict that they beat us. 77-0 mean green for reigning 2021 NBA champion Luka.
Sept. 18 UAB* - UAB stands for U Are Booty. Mean green win 35-10.
Sept. 25 at Louisiana Tech* - We owe them one for 2018, best UNT game I’ve ever been to. 87-17 UNT.
Oct. 2 Bye - I don’t know who Bye is but it’s Pride month so I’ll say they give us a good run. UNT 24 Bye 13.
Oct. 9 at Missouri - Seth gets another SEC win and Kansas State gives him another offer, because that’s what good people do, they give second chances. UNT 55 Ozark 14.
Oct. 16 Marshall* - The Thundering Turd. UNT by 50.
Oct. 23 Liberty - it’s a good thing Hugh Freeze can coach from a hospital bed because we’re gonna kick his butt!!! UNT 7 Liberty 6
Oct. 30 at Rice* - they had 8 chances to score at the goal line and we stopped them all 8 lmaoooooo unt 63 rice 20
Nov. 6 at Southern Miss* - Now this one I can see being tough. Hattiesburg is just a tough road environment and USM is getting better. USM 38 UNT 13.
Nov. 13 UTEP* - UTake this football and UGet tackled! UNT 44 UTEP 24.
Nov. 20 at FIU* - Miami is a literal sinking cesspool. Seth jumps up and down in the end zone to put the field at a slight tilt that gives us a huge downfield advantage. 55-20 good guys.
Nov. 27 UTSA* - UNT 1528372826282 UTSA 0 and we celebrate at KFC. Phil Bennett does a sick Buckethead impression as we ride into the night

Listed as a LB but appears he played safety at The Citadel:
Watching his form, he hits like a linebacker. Eye test tells me he has the mobility to play deep coverage well and goes right at guys. Might be really valuable at a nickel spot. I'm sure his special teams play had a lot to do with getting him here as well.

Love this for the program. Already stacked on offense and adding SEC talent. Get the defense to even a MARGINALLY better unit than they were last year and we're on the right track.

Oh, also this is his pinned tweet. I'm about it.

I'm extremely pumped for this. From what i've seen, his speed and size combined make him a huge threat. Really excited to see our DL this year, think we're gonna see a lot of QB pressure.

I don't ever fault players for looking for better opportunities. They are kids, after all. But the great athletes that choose to stay here and make their mark are just special. I hope guys like Darden know what they mean to this community.

Once you are set up that first game, wander around (shouldn't be hard from your handle here on the board) and mingle with some of the other tailgates. I am certain you will have new UNT friends that ARE football fans within about an hour.
Sweet! I'll take you up on that. Goes both ways, I love to cook so my tailgate will be an open door.

Heh. Appreciate it. Still in Denton but none of my UNT friends are football fans. Need to find some.

I'm planning on it here in May. Gonna snag that package that gets me a blue lot and go nuts tailgating this year. You guys have been so helpful today, I really appreciate it.

Thank you guys so much for your help. Questions answered. See you on the tailgate lots in September. GMG!

Not sure how much you're looking to spend on tickets/parking, but if you can get into the Blue Lot, there are a lot of great tailgating spots that you can set up yourself in there, or join in with existing tailgate groups. I know you can tailgate over in the Orange Lot (where the old Fouts Parking lot is) as well. As long as you have your own equipment, you can set up/tear down yourself.I REALLY appreciate the help! Do I have to contact someone to pay for a lot or is it like a first come first serve type of deal?

Sorry if this is an irrelevant post. I graduated in '19 and didnt attend any games last year due to COVID. I've been looking at grabbing a tailgate spot this year to go along with my season tickets. Basically just curious what the best way to go about it is. Where should I get a lot, and do I need to grab one of the packages the school offers or is there a way to just secure a lot without all the tents/equipment included?

Did anyone record it/is it available on YouTube?

Absolutely awful news. Praying for his family first and foremost, and praying the team can rally around each other. No kids should have to go through this.

Is there a way to find the full game online somewhere? Spent 2 years searching and all I can find is this measly video of highlights from when the game was already decided.

Our offensive guru, QB whisperer coach doesn’t have a QB in a make or break year.....
seems like that’s a problem
2020 nationally, we were 10th in YPG, 23rd in PPG and 23rd in total passing yards, and of the two QB's who were responsible for those stats, the better one is returning.
Shoot I'd put QB as one of our safer positions heading into fall.

This drive alone reduces my interest in Stoops at any capacity to zero.

OSU’s best option may be C-USA

Historically I agree. Personally I don't think Baker goes down swinging through all this but we will see.
