  1. Short story..Wyoming DC and had success. Became head coach and did not. He was hired be CLB at Troy and was DC 2003-2004 and had good success. He was then hired by Tommy Bowden to be the DC at Clemson and stayed there until 2008 when Tommy was fired. His defense was strong leading the ACC in scoring D and 9th overall in the country. However when Dabo was named HC he elected to resign. IMO I feel like he either had issue with Dabo or was upset that he was passed over for the HC gig.. not sure. Here’s a little read on that http://www.espn.com/college-football/news/story?id=3740457 he then bounced around and ended up at NC with Fedora and I think there was also some personal conflicts between the two. So fast forward...2015 NB was able to grab probably one of the best coordinators in the country who appears to be very happy in Troy, happy being a coordinator and obviously doing his thing! Hope we can keep him for years to come!
  2. He was Co-offensive coordinator with Matt Moore and Neal called plays. He will now be solo coordinator and call plays. Good move for him.
  3. To answer your question...you are correct that we only have 7-8k on main campus. However, despite being a smaller school we have really great support from our students, alumni and the community. People around there love Troy football. In boxing terms...Pound for pound we have one of the best attendence stats in college football averaging over 25k this year. I can only imagine what that would look like if we had 30k plus students..🤔 Anywat...I think that if we have 12-15k people there for Troy I would call that a success. Hopefully you guys bring close to the same. But to think we each bring 20k in order to be considered successful is not realistic. Nola bowl folks will be very pleased if we cover 30k!
  4. Hey folks I just want to say in advance that I am looking forward to this matchup! Sure..both of us would probably rather be playing FSU or some other P5 with an opportunity to knock them off. But it didn't shake out that way and we both are fortunate enough to play in New Orleans! Few quick facts to some of your post 1. Troy is in the middle of nowhere(but 2 hours north of the most beautiful beaches in the world) and it is truly just a college town. 2nd smallest population of any D1 school. Which to me is what makes it special. Everything that goes on there centers around the school. Probably one of nicest campuses you will ever step foot on. 2. We average about 25k attendance which is comparable to your 23k. So while we are small we have a pretty nice following! 3. 6 Sunbelt Titles and 2 D2 National championships. 4. 3-3 in bowl play vs your 2-6 5. 85% of Troy graduates can read. 6. Almost all Troy grads have more than half of their adult teeth. 7. Student enrollment is listed at 18k but main campus is probably closer to 6k. 8. Math...not required to be taken in any major at Troy but I have just enough fingers to count our record vs NT..8-2😜 but it's going to get confusing after we meet in New Orleans! 9. Defense...has not given up more than 25 points to any team this year and I believe we have the #1 ranked red zone defense in the country. I think that hits on most of your questions I've read so far! In all seriousness.. please don't let 1 or 2 posters allow you to think we have a nasty fan base that discounts your program. At the end of the day we are two programs that both compete for recognition in big football states. Here's to a good game!!
