Or because he's completely off topic??? The thread is about uniforms. If you want to talk Facilities Master Plan and AD Strategic Plan, why not make a thread dedicated to it?
I did....apparently no one gave a crap about it 😅

To reassure SV, there is a plan, I think it is a very good one. I don't understand why it hasn't been released yet.
I just hope that those working on it remember that perfect is the enemy of good. It needs to be out ASAP. It will be a huge show of "something different, new, and innovative" that so many long time fans need.
That's my point...I'm just a regular guy asking for info on a path forward. I ask what's going on and I get vilified for it. I want us to be the best and expect the best. Is that too much to ask?!

Everyone is worried about uniforms (which is still important) but yet the fan base is owed:
1)"Athletic Facility Master Plan that will provide a facility road map for North Texas Athletics for the next 15-20 years."
-Wren Baker
2)"Our administrative team is in the final stages of developing our athletics strategic plan which will set the long-term direction for our program."
-Wren Baker
If it's out there please direct me to where it is found and I'll be taking your down votes to the chest
-GMG
-Since grandgreen and tmjerm are the first to down vote me I'll say this
because I quote the AD and ask what's up with the timeline that he himself put forward I'm somehow in the wrong for brining it up?! all I'm asking is for a normal amount of accountability nothing more.

vs UTRGV on Nov 20th
I had to google what UTRGV was. I guess there is another UT tribute school in Texas.

Quick, honest question. What players off of those Ryan teams, outside of the DT, made an impact on the college level?
Fair enough...but you can't deny these kids weren't quality players (that North Texas would have taken in a heart beat) coming out of high school. We can all look back now and say they didn't work out but at the time everyone thought differently. They could have been legends at North Texas instead they chose to go to a P5 school where some faded into obscurity. My point is this, this program isn't where it needs to be because its core is still weak. If you're unable to recruit consistently in your own backyard you will struggle the farther you move away from your own flag pole. I don't blame the kids for going somewhere else either. Recruiting in Texas is a double edge sword. Its rich in talent but there are a lot of high schools that have had facilities that rival some Div-1 schools and if your facilities don't stack up to a high schools, you're going to be struggling at a consistent basis. I apologize for saying what everyone already knows.

Man, you are about to get welcomed into a new reality...
That 1-11 season in 2015 was only a 1 and not a zero because UTSA had to play its 5th string QB in the second half of a game here that we scored a late TD to win.
You'll learn over time that 5 win seasons are about as good as it usually gets around here. Since 1995, when we moved up to this level of play again, we have won more than 6 games 4 times and 5 games 4 times. Every other season since 1995, a total of 22 seasons, we have won 4 games or less 14 times. That includes two seasons with 1 win, five seasons with 2 wins, four seasons with 3 wins, and three seasons with 4 wins. That covers 3 ADs, 6 head coaches, 3 conferences, and 2 stadiums.
We just want victories of any style at this point--I don't care if they are moral or real...
I appreciate the info. I've been Following North Texas since 2000 so you're not telling me anything I didn't already know. Graduated from Denton Ryan in 2003. While North Texas was winning in the Sun Belt and playing at Fouts Field, Denton Ryan was winning state championships (and winning playoff games at Texas Stadium) these teams were filled with talent and North Texas could never take advantage of that. I digress....I just refuse to be the guy that's starving and settles for a piece of bread.
Thanks for time

Is Texas State interested in playing North Texas?
I would much rather see Texas State at Apogee then I would Lamar or Bethune Cookman.

I understand that very well but moral victories just don't move the needle for me.

Let's hope so, I just really want to know what the long term plans are for upgrading facilities and what are some strategic goals for achieving success. Hopefully good things are coming.

I know I'm new here but going 5-7 and losing your bowl game usually doesn't constitute a successful season. Am I missing something here?

I would like them to bring in local breweries to Apogee. It would be nice to see Audacity, Amaradillo Ale Works and Denton County Brewing Company. I'm sure they would like the opportunity to showcase their beers and it would probably be cheaper. If they already do then disregard my post.

The top 50 schools shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone but the Forbes list is different than other lists as it puts more emphasis on ROI metrics. Post Graduate success, student satisfaction, student debt, graduation rate and academic success. The list has a lot of small private colleges that I've never heard of, that's what was surprising to me. North Texas has moved up from 581 in 2014 to 500 in 2017. That's a positive trend that I hope continues.

Forbes' list of Top Colleges for 2017
For the second straight year The University of North Texas ranks 500th out of the top 650. Other notables include:
UTEP: 608

I wonder if the construction on I-35 will have any impact on the the construction of the IPF. As it is right now it's kind of a cluster f*** in that area already.

Dennis Franchione recruited most of these players. Withers is heading into his second season. Regardless of who recruited these players as a head coach how are you going to say you wouldn't bring your family around your own players. That can't be good for the perception of him or the football program going forward.
-
From what I've read the reason why we aren't ranked on U.S. News College Rankings is because the university doesn't submit its data in order to be reviewed by them, at least that's my understanding. I just found the article interesting.

What is it with Cowboy players and shoplifting?! Lucky Whitehead is claiming that the person arrested was not in deed him because he wasn't in Virginia at the time. Bizarre

I'm all for second chances but a lot of these kids are more trouble than they are worth. Ronald Ollie has already left Nicholls State, John Franklin III will probably never start at Auburn and Kam Carter although talented could care less about football. I wish all these players the best but the payoff doesn't justify bringing in some of these headaches into the locker room.

Yes I am a fan...but I'm also a son of Denton going to his hometown university and I'm tired of settling. I made a thread and if you google it there was a contract put out for the creation of such a plan
http://www.texasbids.net/government-agencies/denton/university-of-north-texas752-749814/7284073-unt-denton-athletics-master-plan.html
a bid to a contracter has been put in a while ago. So where is it? Why can't I see it?
