I'm 46 years old, drunk most of the time, and overweight.  I'm pretty sure I can throw a more accurate pass than Hicks.

I'm close friends with the enemy, one of my best friends is an SMU diehard.  He has been telling me for 2 seasons that Hicks is awful and from the limited action I've seen, I haven't believed it.  This season has exposed him.

Whose secretly rootin’ for SMUt to pull this out in a sick way to make the NT win look even better? Don’t deny it you scoundrels  !!!!!

I don't deny it. 100% I hope SMU wins.  But I also think if they do it will be blamed on rain.  They contained our run offense and it looks like they're doing a decent job of that again.

  3. You can't use the weather as an excuse at this point.  SMU is flat out playing tonight.  The thing I hate most about this situation is that we won't know how legit our team is until tomorrow when we hopefully shut out Incarnate Word and next weekend when we hopefully take it to Arkansas.  I really don't think we will know how good or not good this team is until we play Arkansas next weekend.

Side note, if we beat Arkansas next week and continue to keep winning and manage to get into the top 25...Littrell is (probably) gone.

  4. Defense was the biggest question (in my opinion) going into the season.  We got an answer tonight.  Much improved.  Such smashmouth football.  My only hope is that SMU was much better than they seemed, because they did not look too impressive.  Hard to tell if that's because a new coaching staff and game one or if it was because we have a dominate defense.  Yes, our defense dominated tonight, but it remains to be seen if they can continue that throughout the season.  Based on what I saw tonight from the first team D, I think we can.
