It's either Las Vegas or Armed Forces for sure. Slight chance it could be HoD
It might be off the radar now, but no chance of the Independence Bowl?

ouch....that would be a tough game.....but still bonus football....close by!!!! It would give me a reason to go to Joe T's, Rick's, and Kincaid's....as well as the game!!!
I would go just because of the proximity, but damn we might end up playing a conference champion. Also there's a slim chance Navy gets into the Cotton Bowl if they are considered the best G5 team available. Would probably need a W Michigan team to lose their conference championship game.

Somebody mentioned the Armed Forces Bowl in Ft. Worth the other day against Army....that would work!!!
I thought it was Navy that had that tie in?

Since Hawaii has 13 scheduled games in the regular season, do they have to have 7 wins to be bowl eligible? Hawaii played California in Australia the week before the rest of the NCAA started playing. Right now they are 5-7, but play UMASS late tonight. It should favor Hawaii playing at home and well UMASS being UMASS. So with a win, would Hawaii become bowl eligible?

Oh, and Hugh Freeze was a one year head coach at Ark. State too...
17 minutes ago, Dr. Seuss said:Its a "what have you done for me lately" job, turning a program from a 1-11 season with 64(ish) scholarship players to a possible winning season in one year. Others will take a look, just like what we did with him. If he gets an interview, I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to the top of the list.
Everyone thought that we were 3 seasons out from having a winning season and he possible might be doing it in one. That's nothing to take lightly... Gus Malzahn was at Ark. State for one season before he left for Auburn, that was also his first head coaching job in college.
Freeze went 10-2 after a 4-8 team and didn't coach the bowl game. 6 win turnaround. Malzan took over the next year and went 9-3. Neither coached the bowl game (Ark State won both bowls).
SL has done a great job and at best would be a 6 game turn this year with a bowl win. I just don't think 7 wins including the bowl are enough to move with.

I agree with @Eastwood Eagle. It will take at least 2 but more likely 3 years of growth to show what he is. 8 wins next year followed up with a legit contention for CUSA (I didnt say we have to win it) for schools to come knocking down the door for SL.

So you're saying there is between a 98% and 100% (we win we're in) chance of something good happening to us and a 0% to 2% chance of something bad happening to us. As a long-time follower of all things North Texas, I'm not sure I like those odds ;-).
Hey now! So far things are going well. We got a good hire on Littrell, Rick V got ousted, and we got a good hire in Baker. We also won 4 games when we were not favored to win!

Dodge? As far as team discipline I would rate Dodge way ahead of Dickey and probably McCarney.
Mac disciplined his players. When Schilleci was arrested, Mac suspended him. Mac cut Dajon Williams for his off the field issues (in addition to his lack of knowledge).

This means that Littrell isnt a good fit for SMU or Baylor, LOL
All the reason more we didn't need a regime where players can run a muck like they did under Dodge.

It's now Thursday and I still have not seen a line for this game from every gambling site I have gone to.

I hate UTSA. Bunch of entitled people who think they can screw the WAC and bypass the Sun Belt. I rather Texas State have gone to CUSA because they actually have played football for more than 3 years at that time. Also continue to keep screwing UNT.

So one of the 65 uniform combos we need has to match our current field color head to toe. Or get new turf to match what the uniforms look like.

I could've sworn the the NCAA made a rule against that not too long ago.
I thought so too, but Boise has recently played with an all blue uniform this year.

Seth Littrell made this claim last December and now is about to have his team placed in a bowl. I thought he was crazy for it, but I have to give him props for being right. Thank you Coach Littrell!!
