How about we just worry about winning and hoping CUSA has success? The more success in CUSA the better.. even if it means UTSA gets into a bowl
I hate UTSA enough to not want them in a bowl. You can wish for that but I’ll keep my furry against them with me. I want what’s best for UNT and that means having local Texas CUSA teams in the dumpster like Rice and UTEP already are. More recruits on the table for us, meaning more bowl games for us and less for them. If the conference goes to 9 bowl games, we get 1/9 of the “prestige” pot anyways.

That's what I thought..
When I meant more money for UNT, I want to see CUSA get the largest total bowl game payouts - the lowest possible travel costs.. Yes that doesn't mean UNT gets more money compared to other schools, I meant it as UNT gets more $...
Yes in a perfect world I would like to see someone like UTSA go to Hawaii or outside of the country, but Show me the money!
How about we root for UTSA to lose another 4 games?

I want whatever gives UNT the most money... I could be wrong, but don't the schools get reimbursed for travel expenses?
Not sure on that. I'd love to see an empty stadium wherever UTSA goes. I dont want them anywhere near Texas.

UTSA board, said they would like to go back to the New Mexico Bowl (if they get to 6 wins)
I want UTSA in Hawaii or the Bahamas lol.... IF they get 6 wins....

Hello All,
I am thinking of upgrading my season tickets to club tickets for next year. It is just me and my wife who will be on the plan. I understand that there is a stadium gift required to be paid over 5 years. I was just wondering if you pay the gift over 5 years, do you have to renew for another 5 years after that one is up? Also what if you want to move in from the outside sections to the inner ones, does your gift transfer or do you need to start your gift over?

Has us playing in the HoD against K-State!
Loving this type of prediction.
Also, I know its from Wikipedia, but if we had to choose a bowl, I am not even sure which one I would choose.

I wonder if running the table and winning conference and a bowl would even help us at this point. Next year they will still put us near 100.

UNT still comes in at #78 with UTSA still flying high after 2 losses at #68. Doubters are still out there. Florida Atlantic comes in at 90 so they arent getting much respect either.

I’ll say that I thought Mason shouldn’t have played last year. We should have stuck with Morris a little longer and gone to Shanbour if we needed a backup. I hate that we had to burn his red shirt but all of my doubts have been cast away now that he’s killing it. My bad for doubting him but I will be especially sad in 2020 when I have to watch Pearson or someone else at the helm and not Mason Fine.

After a week off that could not have gone any better for UNT, putting the Mean Green in the driver's seat of the Model A going to the C-USA Championship Game, the birds that don't fly come to town.
In case you've been living under a rock for the past 5 years, UTSA has pretty much owned North Texas football... sans the lone win during the WORST YEAR EVER.
They'll likely come in here with their tiny bird ears pinned back, confident that they will be able to continue their dominance. For the Mean Green, Jeffrey Wilson is rolling... Mason Fine is rolling... Jaylon Guyton is rolling... basically, the entire offense is rolling. The defense is better, but still needing to play up to their preseason billing as the clear-cut "best unit on the team" label everyone gave them.
UTSA was about to go 11-0, but now they can't do that because USM stepped in their ant pile. They're going to be laser-focused, and emotionally-charged coming in here. Sturm is having a nice year, making great decisions with the ball, as evidenced by his QBR, and they have some weapons on offense. They always play UNT like it's their super bowl (I don't care what you rowdytalk trolls say), and will be looking to come here to win.
As coach Littrell always says: "Be the most excited team to play, and you'll have a chance to win in the 4th quarter." NT has to come out excited & focused. If they do, and remain so for 60 minutes, the tower will be green Saturday night.Sadly, until the curse is reversed, I just cannot predict a win against these guys. UTSA wins with an excruciating last-minute TD.
UNT: 30
UTSA: 31Prove me wrong Mean Green.
I read your whole post getting excited and pumped for tomorrow. When I read your prediction, I wanted to smash my computer....
UNT:45
UT-Sorta Almost:31

With it being as big of a game as everyone is making it to be, I do not see how we cannot get 28k-30k or maybe even a sellout. We got 24k in the stands for SMU last year. with a potential of 10k students going, that would be more than the total attendance for the lowest attendance ever at Apogee when we played UTEP in 2015 on thanksgiving weekend.

I may be getting ahead of myself, but is FAU really any good? Yeah they won big on ODU 58-28, but they did it mainly on the ground. Driskel was only 13/22 for 97 yards and an INT and no TDS. They ran the ball down ODU's throat on the way to 453 rushing yards. They had a nearly 200 yard rusher in Singletary, and another 100 yard rusher in Howell Jr. Driskel even rushed for 92 on his own. They have losses to Navy. Wisconsin, and a 3-3 Buffalo. However, ESPN FPI only gives us a 27.2% chance of winning and has FAU favored in every game the rest of the way except against LA Tech, but it is pretty much a pick'em game right now. Is there something I'm missing here? Or is it just the Lane Kiffin effect?

Speaking of The Wren:
This is gold from Wren. I absolutely love him as an AD. Wish he would have ended it "GO MEAN GREEN!" just for a little more flare.
To everyone else who disdain the words "Mean Green" go listen to George Dunham's recording of "Do you believe in the Mean Green?" then voice your concerns after.

With our offense on fire will the bye cause a stutter in production? We almost never seem to come off a bye ready to go, hopefully Littrell changes this mindset.
Littrell's lone bye week so far, he had the team coming out swinging against Army at West Point.

I have no idea but isn't Navy tied in with the American Conference, and Air Force with the Mountain West?
With Army being an Indy, I'm assuming they get 1st dibs on the Armed Forces Bowl, then followed by Navy/Air Force in whatever order because of conference agreements
Yep I would assume that is how Army needs a tie in because they do not have a conference to back them. Same how ND has a tie in to a New Years Six (and former BCS) if they win so many games and finish at a certain rank or higher in the national polls.

Independents
– BYU currently has no direct bowl tie in 2017 if it doesn’t get into the College Football Playoff.
– Notre Dame can take one of the ACC’s bowl spots starting with the Russell Athletic Bowl. Must be within one overall win over the available ACC team with the best overall record to take one of the ACC’s spots.
– Army is tied into the Armed Forces Bowl vs. the Big Ten -

I would love to see us in Ft. Worth, as it might open recruiting doors.
That would mean playing Army for the 4th time in 14 months as Amry is more than likely going to be bowl eligible. Only tie in for them is this game unless they make it to a New Years 6 Bowl.

I meant Darnell Smith dammit! Always screws me up lol.
The 2013 Receiving corps was Breelan Chancellor, Darnell SMITH, and CARLOS Harris. Great Trio. Now compare that to this year's trio of Guyton, Bussey Jr., and Lawrence or Smiley.

GH will have a better choice after another year here and he knows it. Why would anybody, especially a first time HC, take on the HC at UTEP.....talk about blocking your career path.
SL took the job here knowing very well he could end up just like Mac. It has always been a hard place to recruit here and sustain success. Harrell came here knowing that too and still made the jump from his comfy job at Wast St with his mentor. If we could play "What if?" I would have bet $100 he would be the OC/QB coach by the start of next year if he stayed with Leach.

Did anyone tell this idiot that if UNT wins Saturday that his pipe dream is pretty much over?
