You asked for 5 But I would love to land all 7 of theses guys. Frederick is a Tulane commit. Josua Smith is a bit framed WR with multiple P5 offers. Boone Morris is an old school type MLB that can fly around the field. Langley has SMU and Tech offers. Garrett and Gant are both All Confernce level Safties with great offer list. Cash is the only one on the list North Texas hasn't offered yet. He won State last year as a soph. He is a big framed 6'4 with a great arm. He has a couple offers so far. I predict by the time December signing day he will have 10-15 offers. He has too much size and arm talent to not blow up in recruiting. He reminds me of Clayton Tune.

Boone Morris would have several p5 offers if he was in dfw. East Texas is a gold mine

That's not what Morris does, he usually gives it to the players straight. There's a story from his time at Tech when Mahomes was there that he was on a visit with Jarrett Stidham who was already verbally committed and when his dad and he asked Morris about being the starter immediately Morris responded that he'd have to compete for it.  Stidham decommitted and went to baylor.  So, if anything he's honest to a fault.

Wondering which one will be a better player

So now they can hold their championships in one building/on one court?

If we had to drive to Frisco, I would have preferred the game being played in an actual basketball venue in the Comerica Center. I figured the only reason to continue the unconventional set-up at The Star was to have two courts.

We'll be at dickeys arena next year in FT worth

Mason Fine has a better chance of playing in the NFL than Perry playing in the NBA. Why the smoke screen? Enjoy your last year in Lubbock. Thanks for the memories.

Guys there are a ton of guys in the portal looking for more money and/or the right situation. I thought one of the benefits of hiring Ross Hodge was the possibility of him retaining this roster. With Ousmane and now Perry hitting the portal after his announced hire, he’s going to have to really earn his pay.

Also, too bad the staff looked short term in recruiting last year with the signing of a few 1 year rental guys. LSU women won a national championship in Kim Mulkey’s second year with 9 portal girls. It can happen.

In hind sight, would it have been better to bring in a coach that could have brought in 2-3 of their own players as part of a package deal? I’m sure it’s a resounding no. In Hodge we trust.

Who did you want as HC?

I'll add....if he wins the AAC this year and say he goes 10-2...he's going to rebuild next season with a new QB (I think Harris is out of eligibility.....maybe he'll get a 12th year I don't know)

But say he has a good year this year and P5 comes calling, I would think he has a hard time saying no. What is his buyout?

He's not winning the aac. They've dominated the worst conference in the country.

This one may be great for us... One of the tallest people on the planet. Athletic, but needs coaching and a weight/nutrition program like we have. Our pace would be perfect for him.

    March 28, 2023: Transfer

7-5 WKU Center Jamarion Sharp has entered the transfer portal

I didn't watch him unless he played us but he seemed soft playing us
