Since our law school is not accredited, is it a fake?
If you graduate, can you take and pass the bar and then practice law? If so, I wouldn't characterize it as fake.

Not sure if this has been reported or mentioned, but they are no longer listed on the roster on meangreensports. Hope they can work their way back, but it's apparent their violations were pretty serious ones.
Isn't it ironic how things work out. Bogenshutz and TG graduated together and both UNT and UTSA would have loved the package. Now, neither of them are playing. Crazy.

Doesn't SL have any plans on recruiting out of state? I'm going to look at the UNT committed list to see if it is limited to Texas. Surely the net that is cast is wider than Texas.
I guess your right. 11 of the 12 committed are from Texas. That's why I come on here. #learningthings

Relax. He's not going anywhere. He has one year head coach experience with a sub .500 record and hadn't even signed a recruiting class yet. Although he is a huge upgrade, that resume isn't knocking down doors. After he's been here a few years to have a body of work to sell, then, but not before.

If you accept a premise in this thread that TV money is drying up, you have only addressed one leg of the stool. The other is recruiting. Conferences bring in team for recruiting exposure in other desirable states, see Texas A&M and SEC or the PACIFIC 50 trying to get UT (read the state of Texas for recruiting). I have not read or given much consideration to consolidation, but it seems it would lock the school into a very limited recruit pool with some, shall we say, very large and powerful fish. It would appear the P5 would then have an even greater advantage than they do now.

A win. Since the conference let's the team keep the first 100k and picks up expenses, the win is what is considered now. A win = better recruiting, a stronger conference USA and better bowls in the future. Sorry wrong thread.

All that has to be done is for the Cotton Bowl to partner with another Bowl . The higher ranked team between Navy and CMSU after the Midshipmen play Army gets The Cotton Bowl, the lower ranked gets the Other Bowl.
How often do bowls collaborate?

Rumor is LA Tech has the HOD as their first choice.

Well, I guess it's good they are in our division. They will still count as a FBS win.

My thoughts:
First, most fans seem to always after a loss blame their team's effort and opine that their team beat themselves with little credit given to the winner. UTSA was the better team for 3 quarters came out with a better game plan and executed it very well. Those four turnovers by NT just like the 7 by Army were largely due to the play of the defense.
The best thing I can said about NT was that they certainly didn't give up.
The offensive line was back to being basically dominated. Yes, UTSA was playing to stop the run, but NT did not block well on ether run or pass plays.
The Alamo Dome gives UTSA a big home field advantage, I can't imagine the noise if they came remotely close to filling it.
NT cheerleaders work very hard.
I think NT got significantly out-coached.
The defense played much better than the offense, but again gave up too many long plays.
Fine was both the goat and star of the game for NT. He made plenty of freshman mistakes and was definitely a liability in much of the game. However, he also was the only offense NT could muster and showed glimpses of greatness particularly in the last quarter. Knew he was fast for a QB, but not that fast. He is going to be fun to watch and with a little more development should be the next great NT QB.
Funny and somewhat sad that UTSA who had those massive by CUSA standards crowds is now suffering the same attendance woes as most of the league despite being the only team in a huge area and a lot of community backing that NT currently only dreams of.
Because people don't want to associate with losers. Whether your UNT with a long history or UTSA with a short, you gotta win to put butts in seats. Period.

At times it actually looks like it is regressing. No one wants to be critical of anything around here, but critics manifest expectations. Loathers create #RV.
*I think the loss vs nutsack stings worse because of what we have coming up on the docket. It has nothing to do with utsa, but everything to do with our upcoming opponents. If we win the Homecoming game I will be shocked and I will have 2 feet firmly planted in the Littrell bus. Right now, I am cautiously straddling.
Come on Ben, give him a break. It's a new scheme with players not suited to it. G5 is largely about QB play and you have a true freshman with a suspect o-line that can't protect him and run in the red zone. That is your team. QB and red zone running.

I think this logo beautiful and you need to keep it.
No, the problem is that things that are persuasive or funny have truth in it. The story behind KFC on this board is not correct. Also, since my being a fan of both schools has summarily been removed as an option and I now must be knuckle dragger/mouth breather like the others to post here, my posts will begin to take a more pointed approach to issues, as the mods have deemed required. As I am a graduate of neither school, it will be interesting to see the discourse unfold in coming days.

It was. Since I have no option but to respond, I will upload a pick that will satisfy haters. May take me awhile though, I will have to figure out how to do. That's if I don't loose interst and keep it.

You said UTSA "fans" are not fun to be around...which is a statement that asserts that characteristic is true of the group. Whatever man, you spin it so it's a closed thing. Just never saw you like that.

With our 170 lb qb? I would prefer to see some type of read there by Fine with the ability to pull the ball and throw it if the run isn't there. I was ok with giving Wilson shots there.
How much does he run? 170 sounds injury prone. But he is fast.

We must find a way to do something different if we're within a foot of the goal. Put in some version on the wildcat. Hell, put Wilson or Ivy under the center. Shotgun snaps to the 5 yard line when the ball is a foot or less away ??????
Just a thought...could the reason be when your in the gun the back gets the ball sooner and has more time to read blocks?

Play calling puts our young QB in precarious situations over and over and over. It falls on someone and they've been doing it all year. That is how they shit the bed.
*They need some rescripting on their goalline offense as well. That was disgusting and it changed everything.
Also, why do our fans seemingly always defend random coaching staffs? They'll be gone sooner or later, we're here until the grave calls. If BS occurs, call it out. There is no reason to mull on it or say "welllllllllll, we did beat 2-6 Marshall" like there's some validity to that. If you see BS, call it out. It's simple.
My thought last night as I watched the game was Fine was playing h.s. football last year at this time. He needs to develop and he should be solid. He has the speed and is elusive on foot, just give him time to develop the passing component.
Ben if you can't run the ball, passing is the only option. What would you have wanted to see?

Not even a real topic, just troll bait. I wonder why it was allowed to continue?
The only thing dangerous about UTSA are the 2010-2014 recruits our previous staff failed to do their homework on. If it wasn't for our previous staffs stinking up the joint there would be no rivalry here only a jealous infantile little brother. UTSA needs to strike up a rivalry with Texas State. I would trade Texas State for UTSA in the conference in a heart beat.
That ship was never in port. That team isn't ever going to be competitive year in and out with any CUSA program. That was before they hired their HC and burned that program to the ground, tilled in salt then took a big dump on it to prove he's the man and a bad a $$ that deserved the promotion. Many high school coaches, its rumored, are shying away from SWT in talking to their players. That school is in such a bad spot in recruiting against UT, Baylor, UH, Rice and UTSA regionally and UTEP, UNT, TCU, etc. state wide. UNT has a better chance of SMU working to get UNT into the AAC than SWT being relevant in CUSA discussion.

Wow seems like UTSA lost to a winless team last week. Young team without a lot of depth.

In fact, 17 of the 27 players that listed with a tackle are upper classmen.

Thanks for the fact check. I saw that before the game. I wonder if they changed the line up for the game.

The UTSA fans are not much fun to be by because I was sitting next to one yesterday that has no idea what football is or anything about it. And was just being an asshole about everything always yelling at the UNT band and fans like an idiot.
All I want is to WIN if it's against UTSA or whoever a win cures all.
GMG!!!!
That's a bs post and you know it. Your treated very well on RT, much better than UTSA fans are here. Your going to lump me in with "an asshole" as being bad to be around? What about the drunk people sitting behind me, my wife and daughter with an endless stream of degrading profanity? Really 43? Thats a bull crap post and you deserve to be called out.

Brett I didn't see the Army game so I will ask you. Was Army a team with inferior athletes that UNT exploited with athletic ability? Last night, being at the game, the defense looked really fast in person. Goree was the one bright spot on offense. Wilson kills me with fumbles or I would add him as well.

I was referring to the fan base of both schools. I remember the B story, and I don't know if T was offered by Coker when he chose UNT. Either way, it's still crazy how neither guy is playing now.
