Hmmmm. Not sure but there is always a first for everything if put in the right situation
Would bluffing even matter? Wouldn't teams be ready either way?

My point was Goree and Robinson's violation of team rules in the context that it happened was just as bad as what the UTSA recruit did, and had a much more direct affect on the college football team.
Different, but just as bad.
That is all.
Man, 90. I typically am with you but this is outside of my paradigm. I can't up or down vote....I gotta think this through. I guess your angle is off the field doesn't matter, it's only what effects winning and losing?

If you need talent to be competitive, then yes.

Whoa. Is Wilson out too?
Wow. So, we lost 2 recievers, 2 running backs and q.b.?
Who watches this stuff?

He wasn't on UTSA's team when he was arrested and it wasn't at the team hotel less than 12 hours before the game. Context is everything here.
What Goree and Robinson did SEVERLY and IMMEDIATELY affected their team, robbing the team of two starters at a position of need for their own selfishness.

Ok, got it. I didn't catch that and couldn't figure out if you meant a 2 star in a system was better positioned because he was in a system.

100% agree. Artificially inflating their ranking while not actually being a player that will help their program.
**WARNING I ROOT FOR BOTH TEAMS ** Is it your considered opinion that a UNT 2 star is better than UTSA 4/3 star if he plays? Explain slowly so I can follow.

Is that WARNING something you type every time or an enforced 'fix' of your posts?
I do it. I feel if I had an Eagle and UNT screen name and people "found out" I rooted for the other as well, I would be run off as a troll. So, I openly declare I root for the other as well (the mods took off the Eagle and put up the KFC thing) but still get crap for being a troll. So, I place the disclaimer on posts now. Funny thing, if I post something the community would see as UNT positive I usually get down voted. So, I visit to learn about UNT as much as I can to learn and keep up to speed with the program and look past the bravado. I like to try and contribute as I can from "the dark side" to answer posted questions or give information I think may be helpful (see my posts about no parking at the Alamodome which apparently were ignored by some). All in all, very exciting times for UNT with a cleaned house in the AD.

**WARNING I ROOT FOR UNT AND UTSA PROCEDE WITH CAUTION** Met him in person a couple times and he is as good a guy as stated on this thread. It is refreshing to see athletes that are solid off the field as well.

Well, I guess he would know better than me. Thanks for the information.

I can't prove this, but I think I read his offer was pulled. There are 2 other players on the list who decommitted on the list as well. These recruiting lists are fan fun, but not totally reliable. Regarding SL and switching comments if the classes switched, I'm not sure. **SPOILER ALERT I ROOT FOR BOTH TEAMS, IF SOMEONE WHO ROOTS FOR UTSA PISSES YOU OFF STOP READING HERE! ** I'm not sure I agree with that assessment. SL is very well known for being a system guy and I totally believe him when he says that the guys that work well in the system might not be highly rated (stars are based on offers, if you run a system, I could see a lot of other programs not offering because of fit, not talent). Wilson not being a system coach I think would be less likely to say that.

I'm surprised. I read on this board UTSA is winning recruiting, but there is only one player on the list with offers from both. Is the competition in recruiting overblown or are the programs recruiting different players with the new coaches here?

He was offered by Baylor with the new staff. Is it petty of me that if he doesn't come here i'd rather him flip to Baylor over UTSA?
No. You see them as someone to root against. I have teams I'd like to see run into the ground, just competition.

UNT better beat a Service Academy. They already played them and have experience with their gimmick offense.
Oops, a down vote. Uh, let's see. Okay, lets try this. No way in h#ll UNT beats Army. The program is too crippled from years of poor recruiting and coaching. If UNT wins this game, it will be a miracle. Army is the modern day four horsemen and even Nick Saban said that is the one team he will not schedule...smh

OK, as a duel citizen here is my take. UTSA out rushed them and held them 160 yards below average. It was a case of, ah, bed crapping. You cannot be first and goal at the goal and get three straight penalties. Several times open recievers were grossly missed. Wind and temperature is b.s. I hope UNT closes the deal Army.

I think as soon as the LHN deal expires the B12 is gone. The smart $ should look to position themselves for the post crater reorganization.

I hope you caught my sarcasm. We can't really make fun of anyone's attendance.
I thought you were serious. I've read on here how UNT travels very well. I have not seen actual numbers, but I'm under the impression it's 10's of thousands more for bowl games. Why puzzlement was why the huge bowl number and but not regular season at home. It doesn't make sense that if you travel you have significantly larger attendance but I don't claim to have first hand information. Is it true the Green draw +30k for bowl games as I understand it? If so, why the disparity?

Eh, ya. Average attendance is higher, no? Logic dictates something significantly smaller takes much less...nevermind.

Whoa Billy, I said we should always outperform service academies and the down votes are still coming. LA Tech proved that.
