  1. What about Quinn Shanbour? All I know is that he was injured with a severe turf toe last fall and is just now getting his mobility back; otherwise, he would have been in the mix most definitely. He is a straight "A" student so I doubt he has playbook issues. Althought undersized, he has shown to be a true duel threat who can throw and run (google his hudl highlights for verification). My son played against this kid in high school and Quinn was definitely a gamer. Whether he will get a shot is up to the coaches, but I see him making a big impact in the spring. Last spring he turned heads with his throwing while barely being able to run. And it was his running that defeated my son's team. At 100% I would love to see what this kid can do.
  2. The UNT roster or the OSU roster? And if the OSU roster for the fall, then they did not change their roster. Because I know guys who were in his classes at UNT this past fall semester.
  3. He didn't go to OSU for a whole year. He was at OSU for only 1 semester (the spring semester). He was at Choate Rosemary Hall, the fall semester prior to joining OSU in the spring. He enrolled at UNT and was a student this past fall semester.
  4. Thanks guys. There are a lot of quality players in Oklahoma who fly under the radar because they don't match the prototypical physical stature but are helluva players. Tulsa has feasted on players such as these. Hopefully, UNT being very close can take advantage of this situation in conjunction with pulling quality players out of the DFW area.
  5. He sat out last year while at UNT, so I think he would be illegible this year as a redshirt freshman.
  6. My apologies, my cut and paste screwed up (operator error), here are Shanbour's highlights, if interested: Heritage Hall: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/658675/quinn-shanbour Choate Rosemary Hall: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/1559928/quinn-shanbour
  7. Shanbour is a quality player and will benefit the team both athletically and academically. During high school he only played his Sr. season at Heritage Hall (the same school that an undersized Wes Welker graduated from) where he broke the school's single season passing record (37 TDs with only 4 int.). In fact, one of his passes made ESPN's play of the day where he threw a 70 yard bomb to Barry Sanders Jr. Of course, it helps having Barry Jr. and Sterling Shepard (now at OU) on the team. Despite his single season accomplishment combined with the fact that he is 5'11 or 6 foot, he didn't receive many looks from D1 schools and so as not to burn D1 eligibility he opted for Choate Rosemary Hall and continued his performance and was named All New England QB. He received a lot of attention from Ivy League schools. However, when OSU made a preferred walk on offer for Spring ball, he followed his heart and joined the team in the Spring of 2013. He was invited back for Fall Camp reserved for scholarship players. During a scrimmage, he had a severe turf toe injury which would have sidelined him most of the fall season so OSU decided to by pass him and opt for other taller QBs. North Texas in turn has offered him an opportunity. Got to credit the kid, he refuses to give up. He will be a redshirted Freshman. Here are highlights of him while at Heritage Hall and Choate: Heritage: ?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent> Choate: ?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>
