  1. Congrats to Zach! Love seeing another UNT player ink a post-draft deal.

A couple of months ago I thought he had the best chance to be drafted. Was disappointed when he wasn't.

I like that he signed with Balt because of the Ozzie factor, but see it as a tough place for him to stick around. They currently have 14 LBs on their roster, but they need to carry more since they run a 3-4. Good news is that it seems like most of the bigger names...Terrell Suggs, Elvis Dumervil, Courtney Upshaw, even Pernell McPhee to a lesser extent...are OLBs. Daryl Smith seems to have the MIKE position locked down, leaving the WILL up for grabs after Jameel McClain left for the Giants. Unfortunately CJ Mosley probably will step into that spot after being drafted in the 1st on Thursday. I just hope Zach can prove himself, land a backup job, and bide his time until he gets an opportunity.

  2. as a huge Charger fan, I can tell you he has to make it as a kick returner. Royal is solid in punt returns but he does get hurt alot. Our kick return game was one of the worst in the NFL last year. It was so bad that Ronnie Brown was returning kicks late in the year.....he runs about a 4.7 40....not good.

I hope that ST weakness for SD helps dramatically improve Brelan's chnaces of landing a gig there.

  3. I was in New York at Madison Square Garden for the draft when Cody Spencer got drafted in 2004 on day 2 in the 6th round.

We had skipped a Yankees game to take in the 2nd day of the draft because we loved the first day so much. I yelled and clapped like a proud fool, in a room full of silence after the selection was made. It was very exciting to me.

  4. Awesome! Glad to see him sign with SD. Think he has a pretty good chance to stick around, although it will definitely be an uphill battle. If anyone is up for the battle, it's him.

Currently the Chargers have 12 WRs on their roster, including 1 drafted in the 7th round (Tevin Reese - Baylor), and 4 undrafted free agents.

You have Keenan Allen, Malcolm Floyd, Vincent Brown and Eddie Royal as the incumbents. Seyi Ajirotutu just signed a 1-yr deal in March, after leading the Bolts in special team tackles last year. Hopefully Brelan has a great camp and can beat out the others for the 5th or 6th roster spot, taking over KR/PR duties from Royal.

  5. Excellent!

My Dad and I got season tickets about 5 years ago, and have been hooked since. We go to every home game and have even made a few roadies, including Tulsa last year.

Thinking about adding a parking pass this year so we can enjoy our tailgating experience even that much more. It's a great time!

  6. Could you imagine a UNT/UT match up in this game?

Would UT simply stay home before agreeing to that matchup?

    Funny

    That would be great!

I'd imagine the HOD Bowl would be a middle to low tier game for the Big 12, so it would def be a good time to play them as they would be in a down year. Not sure if they'd accept though.

  7. Heart of Dallas Bowl was started as the Dallas Football Classic and the initial four year agreement was for the B10 to play a B12/CUSA team in alternating years.

The new bowl contract is a six year agreement. The permanent team conference is CUSA, and the B12/B10 alternate.

    Glad to hear it.
