  1. I agree with a lot of what rcade has said. Dump the Indian mascots and any usage of the likeness. We should treat the Native Americans just like any other American. Start taxing their lands, businesses and income. We should never show favoritism towards one group of Americans. If the Native Americans are going to be protected by our government and military, let them pay their share. Equal rights for all Americans.
  2. The key play(s) of the game was at the ASU goal line. You had (if I remember correctly) 1st and goal at the 6, and failed to score.
  3. Let's also look at FIU. We played them in Florida and beat them 31-6. You played them at home in 7 OT's and won 25-22.
  4. So......were your hopes dashed? Seriously, if you guys are looking for love, don't make the trip. We don't need that kind of activity in Arkansas.
  5. ASU's Bracey ran the ball 80 yards for the TD. The kickoff was downed in the endzone.
  6. Here's a few more......some basically the same. Pic1 Pic2 Pic3 Pic4 Pic5 Pic6 Pic7 Pic8 Pic9 Pic10 Pic11 Pic12 Pic13 Pic14 Pic15 Pic15b Pic16 Pic17 Pic18 Pic19 Pic20 Pic21 Pic22 Pic23 Pic24 Pic25 Pic26 Pic27
  7. Is Short Bob a member here on Mean Green? I've checked the member lists with no luck, but I don't know if that's the username he goes by on here.
  8. You guys are letting me down here. This was a great thread. I just rented Secret Window. Very interesting flick. Based on a story by Stephen King. Need I say more?!
  9. First of all, let me state, I'm no sissy. I like my war movies, old cowboy movies, action flicks, etc. But the wife drug me to a 'love story' tonight, and I enjoyed it. It's called "The Notebook". Good flick!!!
  10. Here's another vote for Cold Mountain....great movie! Here's a warning... There's a new movie out "Gettysburg: Three Days of Destiny"....do yourself a favor and save those $. I made it maybe 15 minutes in, and had to turn it off. Pitiful. When a soldier in camp 'broke out in song' like in a musical, that was all I could take. The 'acting' was pathetic.
  11. In refreshing my failing memory, I rediscovered that he was a Texan! Here's a brief description of what he did to earn a few of those honors. A true American Hero. http://search.netscape.com/ns/boomframe.js...%2Faudielmu.htm Here's a much better bio. http://search.netscape.com/ns/boomframe.js...udiemurphy.html
  12. I had to check...just to make sure. Yeah, he was the most decorated. http://search.netscape.com/ns/boomframe.js...e%2Fmurphy1.htm Sorry to mess up this thread talking about one movie...I'll let it go now.
  13. A trivia buff......I am not!! But I doubt that was the movie playing...or it was a re-run. "To Hell and Back" premered in 1955. It was the story of Audie Murphy, a Congressional Medal of Honor winner from WWII. A great movie of someone too young and too scrawny to be in the armed services, but he had enough heart to overcome those things. If you haven't seen this movie, it's a MUST SEE. My father got me hooked on old war movies when I was very young. (He was in WWII). He also gave me a (Murphy) signed first edition of "To Hell and Back". Audie Murphy is one of his heroes. Edit: I can't believe I mis-spelled his first name. My Father would slap me for that.
  14. This may be old news to most of you guys, but I just found out that "To Hell And Back" is coming out on DVD. Big news for me, as that's one of my favorites. Now if they'd only get "Sgt. York" on DVD!!!!
  15. Identity I saw this when it was in the Theatre. It's a little more 'slasher-type' of movie than I normally watch, but it was captivating! When I saw it, my wife and I disagreed on how it ended...and that led to us confusing each other further by discussing it. I'm going to rent this movie just to try and piece together the ending. I watched Miracle last night, and it was as good as they say. Also, some old ones... Antwoine Fisher is a good rental. If you've got a date with your wife/girlfriend and need a 'chick-flick' type of movie, see Somewhere in Time. It's an old movie (80's) with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. Interesting time-travel movie.
