  1. When you have 14 and 16 team leagues it doesn't leave much room for non-conference games and traveling. I'm not saying you need a division that is coast to coast, but frankly an all Texas league or division seems boring and I would bet recruits wouldn't like it. They probably want to showcase their talents in different parts of the country too.
  2. Call me crazy but I don't want to be in an all Texas division or conference plus one Okie school. I love Texas but I also love to travel and see us play in other parts of the country. I go to SA and Austin and Houston enough for work.
  3. This is true, I agree, and I find this to be a good thing. Yay, we agree and can be friends! Pow pow! I think #powpow will be my new twitter hash tag.
  4. Can I change my vote and my tune? After game one I say we can be a 4-6 seed now. I'll check back in tomorrow night to see if I need to make a change yet again.
  5. You know it. That is why you have to know when to move on and agree to disagree, then try to find something else to discuss to see if you can come to an agreement over anything then build a friendship around that. People get tied down on one issue like this and you know for the most part no one's mind is going to change so you lay out your thoughts for those who haven't maid up their mind and let them decide. This isn't an abortion thread, its a Cruz vs Sadler thread and that is what needs to be discussed. We know for the most part where both men stand on the issue of abortion so I think we can move on to some of their other beliefs and thoughts.
  6. Agreed If Tony ends up with the Mavs I might go in on season tickets.
  7. I want them to do well and I'll be there to support them but lets be real. Playoffs? ha
  8. My proof is he has not ever said anything about those circumstances other than to save the mother’s life and you can't find anything about him ever doing so. Boom, done! You provided 6 liberal articles that do not say anything about what he ONLY supports, just that he supports abortion to protect the life of the mother, nothing more and nothing less. And they aren't sources except for one because five of them can't reference Cruz in his own words. The liberal media does lie, and you do make up random stuff to throw out there like saying I said something when I never did. Read previous postings for proof. I on the other hand admitted when I misread and misused what you said and apologized. Another example of you putting words in Ted Cruz's mouth and stating you know what his stance is when you don't... You - “and saying he has not said where he stands on the issue when he has clearly stated that he is only for abortion in the case that the mother will die". When has he clearly stated that is his only stance? When? Where? You can't find it. This is you making stuff up my friend. I do want to clarify the "three circumstances" because I am afraid I have been misusing it. Assuming the three are incest, rape, and when the mother’s life is in danger I have obviously been miss speaking. Cruz has addressed the issue of when the mother’s life is in danger but he has not addressed it in regards to incest and rape. I am sorry for any confusion. Lets move the conversation forward. I don't know what Cruz's stance is under the case of rape and neither do you because he has not and will not address it. He isn't going to give in to this game that you and your liberal friends are playing of gotcha; you are a right wing nut. The only thing we can agree on is that yes he is pro-life but thinks abortion is an ok alternative when the mother’s life is in danger. Beyond that we just don't know. So I'll give you another chance to move on to another topic to debate because we aren't going to agree on this and that is ok. I respect your perspective on it. Fighting it out all the way up to the election though will not serve us any good and I doubt bring us to the same opinion. So, how about those departments? Why should they stick around? Aren't they just a waste of our money and a mass expansion of our government that isn't needed? I think Cruz is right on with this one.
  9. Better now then in the middle of the season. I think we'll be just fine during that 2 to 4 weeks. Who is ready for Thursday night and coming out?
  10. 1) Its only bullshit and a stupid argument to you. To me and millions of others it is a real concern. I don't call your arguments stupid or bullshit. I think them through and try to understand them, then I prove them wrong. And it sure seems like you have side. 2) I said two of the top three articles site the first one as their source that Cruz believes abortion should not be used in rape cases (which he has not said), and the first article just said he believes that without offering any proof. So as you see I never said all those article resulted from one article. Again, you are just making stuff up. And yes that is correct, only one, the first one, was in regards to the debates between them but even it failed to use any quotes or words that the candidates said from those debates. 3) Just because he does not say anything about those three circumstances does that mean he is for or against any of them with regard to abortion. You will have to accept that he has not told you his stance on those three individual circumstances and stop trying to tell people he is one way or the other when you do not know. I know this is hard for you to get but you do not know where he stands on it so stop assuming and stop letting the liberal media try to tell you. So you have other issues. Let's tackle those. Why should any of those departments be around anymore? Do you really think they are doing a good job and are using their resources as efficiently and effectively as possible?
  11. I cannot accept your thoughts and disputable facts and just move on because they are wrong and lack logic. This is what I do accept... 1) There is a liberal bias in the mainstream media. It is easy for you to not see it and accept it because they are on your side and you believe them. So we will keep bringing that up because that is half of our battle. Better get use to it. 2) Only one of those articles, the first one, even mentions Cruz and Dewhurst debating. The others were written after Cruz won the nomination. So you are wrong, not all of those articles are in regard to the Dewhurst / Cruz debates. Only one is. Stop making stuff up. 3) Cruz's statement that you quote is correct. Every human life is a precious gift from God and should be protected in law. And if the law states that you cannot get an abortion except under those 3 circumstances then the law has done its job to protect life. Stop trying to take one single issue, the use of abortion for a pregnancy that stems from rape, and try to lump all conservatives/republicans together because of a few inappropriate words used by others on our side of the aisle. The fact is you do not know anything more then Cruz is pro life and wants to protect life to the best of our ability. That right there is probably enough information for you not to vote for him, which is fine. But it does not give you the right and everyone else in the liberal media to make up the rest of his stance and say he believes in something when the truth is he has never addressed it except in a broad sense. Is this the only single issue you are worried about this election cycle and want to bring up with Cruz or do you have something else to debate?
  12. GTWT and those that want to hug it out, I will be at the stadium at 9:00 AM on Saturday backed up to the old golf course by the shed. Come have a beer.
  13. My friend, thank you for sharing these articles. They do nothing but show how the liberal media is at work here trying to build a story out of something that has been a miscue for a few Republicans and now they want to spread it to other conservative politicians by trying to play this gotcha game. I am sorry that I originally misread your previous statement. You are correct, you did say he didn't state it like I did not that he hasn't said it at all. Although, he still hasn't said anything about it. Your first three articles all reference each other as their source for believing Cruz is against abortion in the matter of rape. I guess cause one of them said it it must be true. That is just laughable. Huffington Post, that was a fun little read that didn't say anything about Cruz and his stance on abortion. It mentioned Dr. Campbell and what it believes is her stance, but fails to offer any sources. Then My San Antonio which finally has Cruz in his own words yet it still tries to put words in his mouth. "Cruz would allow abortion only in cases in which the mother's life is in jeopardy: “I think that every human life is a precious gift from God and should be protected in law from conception until natural death.”" He didn't say anything about protecting a mothers life or in the case of rape here, did he? And he hasn't said anything about it because he wont. He isn't going to play this game of got you which the liberal media and people like you are trying to do. So you cannot sit there and say you know what his stance is because you do not know. It is safe to say he is pro-life, that we know. Specifics, it appears he doesn't want to go there. Now you can disagree with him and not vote for him because he will not indulge on what his stance is and would rather talk about other issues, that is fair. But to try and put words in his mouth and say what his stance is is not fair. Food for thought... have you ever thought about this. Maybe he has not said anything about it and doesn't want to because he is against abortion except in the cases of protecting the mother's life, incest, and rape but does not want to say that because he does not want to offend voters on that side of the issue? There are people who do believe this rather its right or wrong and the fact is that those who do believe it are probably going to vote for him so I doubt he wants to throw them and their votes under the bus. FYI that is hardly every news source in America and yes they just might have the wrong idea about him.
  14. This is what you bring to the table? As you said, he has not said it? The lady who wrote this article didn't state any sources of Cruz saying this is his policy. Please get back to me when you find Cruz in his own words or on his website stating that he believes abortion should not be used in the case of rape.
  15. It happens on both sides, no doubt. And some of what you stated there are good examples of it happening on our side. Doesn't make me proud. In my opinion though I see it more from the left then I do the right and I will call it out when I see it. I too wish the conversation and tone in everyone could be elevated but until those across from me who are debating me wish for the same and do it I have to call it like I see it.
  16. Let me first start my response to this by stating that I am pro life and do not believe in abortion except when it is needed to save the mother's life or in the case of rape. I think you will find that is a very common belief amongst many republicans. Now since this forum is about Cruz vs Sadler that is where I will keep the topic. There are some republicans and republican candidates that have made some unfortunate comments about abortion in regard to rape that I don't agree with, but we will keep this on Cruz since that is who you are accusing here. "He is attempting to make a woman have a baby of a man that she did not consent to have intercourse with." Where is your proof that Cruz has ever said anything like this? That is a very serious thing to throw out there without backing it up. Please provide one article, one interview, one video clip of Cruz ever stating this. How is he attempting to make a woman who was raped have a baby? How? If you can show me something that has him in his own words saying this is what he is attempting to do, I'll hand it to you on a job well done in knowing him better then I do. As far it being anyone's business, it isn't anyone's business what a woman does with her body until there is a second human life involved which happens at conception. At that point it is our duty to protect that life and give it the same chances his or her's mother had.
  17. I have a job thank goodness and many more people might have jobs too if Obama got out of the way. That's why we vote and do worry about politics. You have it wrong, your only choose isn't between to the lesser of two evils. There are other candidates out there so you can vote for one of them or write in the name of the candidate you want. I am sure there is one out there who's view points line up to yours. At least your voice would be heard instead of sitting at home and giving up. Why is it that those on the left are so quick to name call and throw out insults? It's a characteristic of the democratic side that I just don't get. I'll state the obvious here... he isn't regulating a woman's uterus, he is protecting the life of that baby who that woman created. Right on Sir, I'll still be here to fight the good fight and try to bring common sense to a forum that is lacking it from some of our friends.
  18. This whole statement is just sad. Since all of us in this discussion who have been doing the best we can to prove our points need to wake the f*uck up as you so elegantly put it, what do you suggest we do? If we are the only ones who can change or make our situation better and voting for who we believe in doesn't do that, what should we do? Should we start another political party? Maybe you can be the leader of it, run for office and we can vote you in. Should we try to overthrow the government? Should we just leave this country cause it is all just phony baloney and I guess Canada is a much better place? There is nothing patriotic or noble about participating in a free election as you state so why partake in any of it. Why pay taxes? Why follow the laws? Why partake in anything this country has to offer. It is all phoney baloney.... It's this thought process that drives me up the wall. Sit there and complain but offer up no advice on how to make it better or what to do different other then call everyone names and tell us only we ourselves can make our situation better by doing anything other then voting because that is a waste of our time. Ted Cruz is a good man, not a moron. I have had the privilege of getting to know him and to volunteer for his campaign. He believes in this country, what it stands for, and is trying to offer what he believes are the best solutions for it. If you don't like what he has to offer, fine. Find someone else to vote for. Same for Sadler. Sadler is a good man trying to offer what he believes are the best solutions. Don't like either of them, write your own name in. Just don't sit there doing nothing and don't call these men and women who are trying to be a difference in this country by stepping out there and running for office morons, blowhards, and maggots. Writing garbage like this is what is moronic.
  19. I like! Is it wrong to hope the Mavs suck so they can take him as a lottery pick?
  20. We are opposite indeed politically, but you are invited to my tailgate for a beer, or whiskey and coke if you prefer, and a game of washers or beer pong or both. People can disagree and still be friends. That's a message that doesn't get taught enough.
