  1. http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20120214/SPORTS/120214005/McCarney-still-hospitalized-confirms-stroke-but-sounds-cheery This is why we Cyclones loved and still love Dan. Glad to hear he's doing fine and will be back strong to work for the Mean Green.
  2. Bill and Dan keep in very good contact so I would trust that the information is accurate coming from Bill.
  3. Coach McCarney and Coach Bill Fennelly are good friend from their time together at Iowa State.
  4. Anyone have an update on Coach McCarney? I'm an Iowa State fan and our WBB coach tweeted that Dan suffered a stroke.
  5. Frankly, it would be more interesting if the games were in Ames against the Iowa State Cyclones. The University of Iowa Hawkeyes (Iowa City) are a classless fanbase thankfully your team will be compensated for going to that crap hole of a city.
  6. This is Coach Mac. No show. He will get his goals done.
  7. You guys got your OC. Sounds like you will have a good run starting. Go Mean Green! (from a Cyclone)
  8. The fact that he was invited to speak at the retirement of the president of our gridiron club last year (an event attended by big donors) and was welcomed with a standing ovation tell you how much he was loved at ISU.
  9. Yes, Dan will sell/build up the program to anyone and everyone willing to listen. He is charismatic and people at ISU still really like him. If your fanbase gives him the chance he could be as well liked there as he is in Ames. He will give it his all no question.
  10. Here are the percentages ranked high to low based of the total number (Texas/All) listed on the respective athletic department 2010 roster: 94% - Texas 88% - Texas A&M 88% - Baylor 81% - Texas Tech 52% - Oklahoma State 47% - Oklahoma 34% - Kansas 25% - Missouri 16% - Iowa State 16% - Nebraska 11% - Kansas State 5% - Colorado
  11. Go Mean Green & Coach Mac. You may see this Iowa State fan in your new stadium next year for a game.
