Billy sometimes I don't see how you do it when covering recruits and not getting down but then it is your job. But I would find it frustrating to have hope on some of these kid that we recruit in order to make it a better program and then see these recruits go somewhere else. Perhaps that is one of the reasons I am not a coach.

So Billy, even tho this guy is built big, does he have good foot movement and other qualities to compete for a starting position? 30 years ago you would not find all that many 300 pd plus guys but nowadays they are a dime a dozen. A few years back I read that Trinity U, a DIII has some offensive tackle at 6'5" and over 300 pds.

Add D. Smith and C. Chumley, and the field is getting pretty crowded.

They have to give Smith a significant amount of reps during spring to see if he is the "real deal" or not. That only leaves a certain amount reps for McNulty, Williams and Means to show how they've" progressed" during the off-season. And with the few (if any) reps that are left over, Chumley is going to have to really make an impression.

I don't see that happening.

It'll be interesting to see how many (and who) will transfer out before spring practice starts.

Silver, is Sam Wells the transfer from what used to be East Texas State U in Commerce? Does he have much of a chance in the competition. We only hear about the 3 main guys (Greer, DW, Nullty) and Conners who did not play this year.

Masters in History: Original research is fun, should complete this next spring.
