Personally, I root for every team on our schedule to have the best record possible except when playing UNT. We need our strength of schedule to be better and conference perception to be much better. Only way for those things to happen is for our opponents to have better records year after year.
Anything other than this is shortsighted. With the caveat of, if you are going to lose then I hope its in embarrassing/spectacular fashion (re: SMU).

I don't think stats are everything to be offensive player of week. He led his team into hostile SEC territory and got the dubya.

For the record, I think if we wanted to we could score 70. Just saying....

I've looked forward to the full force combination of a packed Apogee and those acoustics since Case Keenum couldn't get the plays called.....
And Ben Hicks is no Case Keenum (who I believe at that game was a 39 year old 12th year Senior).

The best thing will be having a whole new set of pictures of the stadium to look at that are not the opening game against Houston. 🙂
A new standard.

Thing that most sticks out is that we have a lot of non-seniors starting. Should be set up nicely next few seasons.
-
48 UNT
35 SMU
-
9-3 regular season (lose to FAU, Arkansas and LaTech)
Lose CCG to FAU
Win Bowl game
Overall: 10-4.

Am I on the minority of folks who looks back at Dajon and thinks "what could have been"?

What is the next level?

I think the next realistic level for us would be being on par with University of Houston. Basically a P5 level school in a G5 conference. Consistent winning records, bowl games, big recruits, solid TV for games, attendance around 35K-42K, periodic moments of being ranked, big wins over highly ranked opponents, NY6 game, etc.. You get the point.
