defense is totally carrying this game so far; they're definitely much improved from last year

well, offense got a lot of yards, but shot themselves in the foot enough to keep from scoring points. defense looked manic in that sometimes they did great; sometimes they just fell to pieces. special teams did not impress me; but, at least we didn't miss on our one field goal try. overall, i'd say we looked a lot better than last year (almost looked like we belonged on the field for a good 2.5-3 quarters); i'd say, things should look up for the rest of the season. we should definitely be able to get some wins and i'll be disappointed if we don't finish .500 or better.
