  1. Go ask Gary Pinkel if Dodge's offense will work in College. Seems to be functioning just fine for Mizzou. Would it be a risk? Sure, any hiring will come with some risk, but it's not like he doesn't have coaching experience. We wouldn't be getting Vic Trilli part two here, he obviously knows how to coach. Combo that with the recruiting windfall we'd get and hell yes he's worth the risk. Give me Dodge or Carthel and watch this thing get good in a hurry.
  2. But your logic is wrong. DD hasn't had just one bad year, he's had several. Not to mention his dismal OOC record. Hill can al least say he's been competitive with big time programs, we can't. And no SMU and Baylor don't count.
  3. To those who think a I-AA or II coach can't cut it, I give you Jim Tressel of OSU. Came from Youngstown State, took OSU to a National Title in '02. He does have more talent to work with, but if we could get someone from a lower class here in Texas we would at least have the recruiting covered.
  4. And he is an UNT alumni. He was my OC in Wylie, and a very intelligent man. I would love to see us take a chance on a really good HS coach from this area. If nothing else, it would help with recruiting DFW.
  5. Yeah, all he did was win in HS. I can totally see why we wouldn't want him.
  6. All of you brown nosers of the program need to lay off. Big GD had a public forum in which to tell his side and now STH had decided to use this as his forum, which for the average fan is the best public forum. He has given his name(at the request of Harry), and in his eyes, an accurate dipiction of what happened. So why does everyone see the need to jump him? DO you really think you'll earn brownie points with the Athletic department or Dunham? If the situation occured as he said, then Dunham was in the wrong, though I can understand him being frustrated with the yelling during his broadcast. None of this should have led to a scream laced arguement though. My suggestion, everyone not involved with the situation (ie- participating party or direct observer) withhold comment from here on out and leave it be. Nothing of substance is being accomplished by any of you adding your .02. Sincerely, Long Duc Dong Class of '01
  7. Plumm, Every time you post with colored and sized fonts, God kills a kitten. Think of those poor kittens before you asswhip us with a post that looks like a brochure for the Rainbow Coalition or GLAD.
  8. Seriously, Finfrock, turn off the Weather channel for a few hours a take a Xanax. 40-60mph winds are nothing, and flooding is only an issue here if you live in a flood zone. Quit trying to instigate panic with everyone else.
  9. How can he take "Forever", when the line couldn't give him enough time to even set up in the pocket?
  10. Calvin, You love to be like this. You have been ever since conference play began. Guess what? Nobody cares. Other than showing the maturity of a five year old, has this thread accomplished anything other than killing our brain cells for its less than intelligent point? No. Why can't you accept the idea of differing opinions when it comes to the coaching staff? Are you a member of the Staff or have a personal stake in it? Unless it affects you personally, why do you feel compelled to constantly defend it or trash those who question it? The horse is dead, let it rest in peace.
  11. Easy, Just ask Junior Miller and Corby from the Ticket.
  12. Glenn, M--- How--- Fill in the blanks. My user name on the other hand should leave no one with questions as to my alias.
  13. Sorry, I can't make myself watch an entire basketball game period. Same goes for scoccer. While I wish all 3 three teams the best of luck, having me there in the stands falling asleep is probably not what they want. However, if the school gets a baseball program, you will see me at every game.
  14. Tell me this quote isn't total BS: "Alumni, mostly musicians, journalists and educators" The education dept is big, I'll concede that but the other 2? Last time I checked neither one was exactly overflowing the brim with students. That's not to say the these depts are bad, quite the opposite, but they do not comprise a majority of the student population. A journalism prof with his facts wrong, how ironic.
