  1. Wendy's makes a fine tasting burger, the problem is that it is a silver dollar burger. They have been decreasing the size of their sandwiches. They Just Noticeable Differenced it to a size so small that it is half a meal.

As a result of my love for Whataburgers, I'm startig to think XL tee-shirts are getting sorta "Noticeably Differenced" silver dollar-ish.

  2. Again, for the millionth time, this misperception is something that would be easily cured by embracing "UNT." When you say, "North Texas" you are 2/3rds of the way to "North Texas State."

    SMU

    TCU

    UCF

    UAB

    USC

    UCLA

    etc.

    etc.

    etc.

It's not that big a deal. I'll never understand why we just don't embrace it and end the North Texas State references for good.

UNT! UNT! I hear ya. i get a weird feeling everytime I see that PCmatic.com commercial, when the girl is wearing the "STATE" sweater. However, I cant see the radio station effectively moving away from KNTU, that one can't work.

  3. Why just one? What fun is that? All the Texas schools for sure. FIU because they are FIU. Marshall because of the color of their jerseys. Tulsa and LaTech for good measure

I agree, why have one. Let's be the Longhorns(big dog) of CUSA. Let's have rivalries with 5 or 6 of our new conference mates. I'm no longhorn wannabe, but they do seem to have rivalries with many. THAT would put butts in the seats.

  4. I will say this. If expansion is being driven by TV markets and UNT still gets passed by, that will tell us all we need to know about the perception of UNT and its programs by others.

It will tell us we're part of the Sherman/Dennison market and that maybe we should be trying to make inroads into the Wichita Falls market.

  5. The guys on that blog were great.

They sound like insecure children. I have a vision of several has beens or never weres sitting in their parent's lonely basements eating cheetos in their tighty whities while blogging nonsense about people who care less about them during their breaks in the Everquest action. Or was it some online avatar life that those of us with lives don't even know about?

Either way, high comedy for me reading their pathetic statements.

Cheeto stained tighty whities is baad visual

  6. Last night at the last hour, SMU called Connor Trussell, my son with an offer. For an hour or so he weighed the pros and cons. One thing that he kept coming back to was the "feel" that he got while on his official this past weekend. Several people including his head coach, Bob Wager, a teammate / friend and captain from last years team, Russell Bellomy who is now playing at Michigan, along with his mom and I told him that he had to go where he felt he would be happiest for the next 4-5 years. When asked that question, it was a resounding UNT answer. I send this not to talk about what Connor did, but what Coach Mac has done to change the attitude and direction of UNT.

    a very proud dad

Proud to have you guys on board

  7. Canon crew flubbed the firing a few times (to mark the end of the 1st quarter and the half)

But damn when it did go off... it rocked the joint!

Was in Sec. 203, 26 rows back and it sounded nothing like it did when I walked over to the student section mirroring my seat location for the final blast. I jumped out of my shoes on that one.

    :)

One of the first shots left an impressive smoke ring.

  8. I am so proud to ne a unt alum as well as having the chance to contribute as a student athlete.

    The attendance looks awesome!

Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine that we could have a crowd that large and look like a true university that supports college football.

Thank you to rick v, the athletic dept, alums, and last but not least the students!
