To Emmitt who made the news tonight for picking up prescriptions for those that couldn't get out in the ice today. I don't know him personally, but thanks for doing this and thank you for your service! Hell of a thing for a Chief to be doing.

The top recruit of the class William Johnson was ineligible for grades at his time of signing and they kept that from the fanbase until two weeks after the season started. There were some good players out of the class for sure and Mason Fine was his biggest recruit, but he had absolutely no competition for Fine and Graham Harrell was the one who found Fine.
I'm not arguing which is better, but Morris is getting the benefit of coming off a much better season than Littrell and company had to pitch to their recruits, which was 1-11.
Eric Jenkins was also in that class.

He's pretty damn close to headliner, not to mention our biggest rival nutsak had a full court press on him
I believe that's what I said

Patience... can't headline a class and be the first to sign.
Meh, I wouldn't say he's the headline, but he's close.

the irony of all of GMG pumping themselves up to Rage is just delightful to me.
People would have to ignore or put aside their feelings of the actual meaning of the song of course. It's just a good hype song. Also, I have a feeling a majority of the students and close to half of the alumni are in line with Rage than you think.
I'm sure Zack wouldn't agree with what we reduced their music to though.

Honestly, Tobe seems like the easy choice. He's got a lot of buzz around his name and blowing up and then add the fact that he not only went here but played. If he could make an original that would be cool but I don't think that would be necessary, we could just sample one of his songs he has.
If that isn't the way we go, I was always partial to these guys when looking to get amped.

I think towards the end Littrell wasn't as good as in the prior years, but I think people forgot how good his first class was. Littrell and company put it together with a week more time, but coming off a 1-11 season. You have 3 maybe 4 HOF'ers in that class. The ratings were lower but the sites were way more stingy back then. I pray this class is as productive on the field as that one.

Starling Anderson and Brown-Turner would be huge recruiting wins that we haven't seen from us in a long time.
I was just referring to the group visiting this weekend, but yes I like them too.

I realize when it started yes. History includes last 10 years too . History includes this year . So I stand by my comment.
Then how could a list created in 2003 include players that were 4 to 15 years away from stepping foot on campus?

Been committed since December. Hasn’t decommitted yet.
Then I guess I'm confused on why you have him up there. We have many more offers out than those, are you saying the "pending offers" are our best chance of signing regardless if the have verbally to another school?

Starling shows to be committed to Texas State, at least verbally.

You said his stats are not impressive. I'm not sure how to perceive that as a positive comment. Yeah, his tape seemed to be geared more to his return game and random plays on offense. We are behind in recruiting due to the timing of the Morris hire. The staff is trying to addresses the secondary which struggled last year. Even if Jackson is returning kicks and a rotational DB, his experience should help our defense. Nelson has great tape. He didn't have a ton of tackles but he had 7 INTs.
It's not positive, but it's not bashing him either.
I like Nelson, he looks really solid. As far as tackles for a corner, I'd prefer they tackled well, but if they can lock someone down then they could hit like Deion or Diggs.

He was 1st team all-district safety and started on one of the best high school teams in the country. Even if it was over 16 games, that's 4 tackles a game. If your safety is the leading tackler, your defense is not very good. That means your guys deep are constantly making tackles and not the front seven. Our secondary needs help. Let's refrain from bashing the kid.
How is that bashing him? Tackles can be misleading one way or another, I was talking about the pbu's. 7 over 16 is low. That district is really tough, so he's playing good talent, and like you said he's on a really good team. We'll see. Nelson had better tape.

He had 62 tackles, 7 pass break ups and returned 3 punts for TDs. The athleticism is there. The highlight tape needs some work.
They must be banking on his athleticism because those stats aren't very impressive, except for the punt returns. I'm assuming those numbers are for the 16 games they played.

I say let fans on the field, bring back After Game Fireworks shows, like they used to do at Fouts, years ago...
And please, DONT start up with "it doesnt make sense when we lose to have a Fireworks show, it's like we're celebrating a loss..." Frisco Roughriders always used to have a fireworks show after Friday home games, I think? Maybe still do?
Not a lot of people care if the rough riders win or lose.

If we can't recruit well with this staff and coaches, then we should fold it up until we get a couple billionaire donors.
