Remember, this event today is OPEN to the public so please stop by if you are able to make. Hope to have a big and welcoming crowd for Coach Morris, Jared Mosley and the newly hired assistants.

This is quite possibly the most significant hire UNT has made in the history of the program because it opens up recruiting opportunities we just have not ever cultivated. Kudos to Coach Morris and welcome Coach Gilbert!

In my Mean Green watching history. As for my all time favorites:
Chris Davis, Josh White, Javion Hamlet
Tylor Perry is fast becoming my all time favorite. He’s just so damn good. I don’t know if there’s been a more valuable player to his team…
Just a great Hall of Fame type of talent indeed. Gosh man I love this team so much.

Anyone have a map of the parling lot and we could indicate where we will meet.

We should not be judged on what happened in the past anymore. That type of thinking is embraced by our enemies and is meant to keep us down.

Good to hear. I am liking the intensity I see when he speaks and it appears that it is mirrored by his actions.

Sorry to link to a pay article. Does anyone have access and can share?

Not saying he will get the job but this guy is a very good coach and spent a lot of time with Jared Mosley at ACU and they were both very successful there. Definitely a name to keep in mind as he was at TCU with Patterson and knows Texas recruiting.

I just saw that the OU Offensive Line coach said its a joke that UNT fired Littrell and then all the OU fans agree and said they hope we don’t win for a long time and act like we treated him horribly or that we should just accept mediocrity as its better than we’ve ever been before. Screw them
Amen what a joke! They never sent Seth one player or gave 2 shots about him until now.

I have attended the 5A and 6A state title games with a group of friends (all NT alumni) for over a decade now. Those games are being played Dec 17.
There is a less than 0% chance I break that tradition to watch Seth Littrell get out coached and Aune play lawn darts in a bowl game.
Sad to hear. I know you’ve been a great supporter for man years. I get it.

West Virginia's incoming athletic director Wren Baker will make $7.1 million in base salary and stands to earn a considerable amount more in bonuses and incentives, according to the pact he and President Gordon Gee both signed.
The term sheet, which is to be followed within 10 days by an official contract, was obtained through an open records request. It states that Baker arrives from the University of North Texas and begins his term on Dec. 17. WVU is covering the $250,000 cost to buy Baker out of his contract with the Mean Green. From Dec. 17-Dec. 31, 2024, his annual salary is $1.1. On Jan. 1 2025-28, he receives a $50,000 raise so that the 2028 salary in his final year tops out at $1.3 million. However, Baker is also eligible for "merit increases available to other University non-classified employees, at the sole discretion of the President."
Baker's other attainable bonuses with the Mountaineers stand to add to his wealth. In addition to the roughly $42,000 he'll make for standard employment in the final two weeks of this calendar year, he receives what is called his "First Retention Incentive" of $75,000 "following his first two weeks of employment." If Baker is the athletic director on March 1, 2026, he received a second retention incentive of $250,000.
Baker signed a contract extension at UNT 13 months ago. His salary started at $625,000, rose $25,000 every year and was to reach $800,000 in 2028. He also received a $100,000 retention bonus this year and was due a $125,000 bonus next year and a $150,000 bonus in 2025.

"Neal's got a young batch at West Virginia that might get really good next year. honestly. Young wide receiver, very good. Running back, very good. Quarterback, very good. Offensive line, we got to figure that out I think. Neal Brown is going to be climbing again. And if not, he's going to be gone. And then we've got a full coaching search with a new AD."
