It thrills me to no end that UNT is doing more and more of these sort of things because these are exactly the traditions that help to build a lifelong connection between alumni and the university. When I first arrived at UNT, students often tended to see it as stopping off point for a few years that created little long-term connection. That has really changed over the last several years and things like this reinforce it.
adriel?.......this you?

Carlos is awesome. Wears red pants for one week in May every year. Advocate for a lot of meaningful causes. He worked with the wife for 5 years, he comes to all football and most of basketball games. He is for sure going to be a cheerleader for athletics, and truly bleeds green through and through.
Trading him for Silva.....this is a good day.

People make mistakes, and some people make a lot.
In general, I find life better and people much more kind if I don't say things that set them up to look like idiots/bad guys. Especially if you're talking about act that wasn't intentional or malicious in intent.
Something to consider. You lecturing me? or Vito, because.......just sayin...
When your job is to write articles, and that is all you do, spell correctly.

Award winning journalist bert Frito can't spell a neighboring state. It's called proof reading bert, you should try it sometime. Starting the clock on how long it takes troll bert Frito to read this and make the correction

Maybe you should pay him...
That's what you really think? I pay for privilege? All this.....never mind that my mother graduated with two degrees from here, my wife two, me, my brother in law two degrees, my sister in law two degrees,
Road shows our own dime to pitch the stadium to other donors, paid catering at my own house to pitch donors the stadium, yeah, I'm only paying to play, for access....there is no love for the university here...
Keep it up.

I may be a clown, but my pockets weren’t fleeced by a hustler that was using him to keep his job. There are lots of names you can use for anyone that falls prey to that kind of deal...I’ll let you decide what the best ones are.
And to your point, we helped build an athletic center, a stadium, on and on, helped pay for student athletes to get an education they otherwise couldn't afford......all while an administration scoffed at the fact that it was getting done. I would have preferred that you said "Thank you " but hey, you continue with your tired old narrative.

Thank you...I can understand all of those points. I just was wondering why some posters don't care for him. He seems harmless to me and I feel bad for anyone who had to cover the $hitstorm that was UNT Sports for most of tenure at the DRC.
He uses spell check, and doesn't (obviously) proof his own work. I don't have a problem with what he writes, and the truth is, he is actually a pretty good dude. The lack of proofing work and putting it out there is why I gave him the nick name "Bert Frito"
And on another note. I will never apologize for the impact I have had on student athletes lives at our university while being "fleeced" by the hattiesburg hustler. I get to sit in pretty awesome spot in a pretty awesome stadium while being "fleeced" and following the vision. No amount of click baiting by some clown named Jim is going to convince me I made the wrong decision.
You can all got to hell..... I will stay right here in Denton, Texas

No, you're right. Things are looking good. There is no denying that. But when things start looking good that is when the microscope has to be dusted off. It's a good thing that we are having to hone in on deficiencies rather than the thing being one big cluster F like before.
We can't afford this mini run to be a flash. We have to turn it into consistency.
I was kind of looking for the Morgan Freeman finger pointing up.....Which is actually an honor....

Can you imagine if we had more than 1 guy on that list? Maybe it could be even better than it is now!!!
I want better, I am excited about the trajectory, I'm just saying 2 all conference coach fired, versus our side champions best quarterback I'll take it.....

1 player on 1st team all-conference, despite winning your division is not getting it done. Mason Fine is a difference-maker, for sure, and granted, they blew it when voting for Kicker, but we need to get better.
Heck, 1-win Rice got 2 players on the All-Conference 1st team.we won our side, played in the championship game in year two of Littrell, and lost our bowl game. Rice can have their two all conference players.....
Rice can go to hell.....I'll stay right here in Denton, Texas.....
Sorry boys. Postseason championship in MBBALL, two bowl games, J to the F Lee on the rise. Its all unicorns and rainbows for me right now.....

"We Should" and "We Are Taking the Steps" are two very different things. Doesn't matter if its by train, car, bike, or plane. Littrell and staff are not recruiting well and have shown an uncanny ability to lose more recruits to similar schools than gain them.
"We are" recruiting well enough to have the best quarterback in the conference. Not my opinion, other people decided that. You can go back and criticize this class in 3 years, but right now, the proof is in the pudding. So are we going to say that Litrell's recruiting sucks after 10 wins next year?
