As much as I hate to agree with this statement, I think you are right. Matt Phillips going in for 2 series early in a tight game is proof of this IMO. You don't put a frosh QB in a tight game when winning is important.

Sorry to hear that you're already getting flack over this game.
I live in San Antonio where I go to law school. I can't take two steps without running into a UT fan. The whole town is in love with UT. Over half my class mates are UT fans (whether they went there or not). I wear a NT shirt at least twice a week. I'll do it again next week. But its going to be painful, because somebody from UT always makes a comment about what a sorry school UNT is. I really get tired of it, but what can I do?

Well, we better start worrying about NT possibly losing many games in the Belt. I will say that Tulsa was tested early and often against top tiered opponents. Our only hope is that Tulsa goes on to win CUSA.

ok you can flame me all you want, but we are pathetic and the 4 Bowl Games means squat, we are winning a 1-AA conference, you have UNT laying eggs against every Non-Sun Belt Team, Troy is doing the same, ULM is a joke, ULL is not much better, MTSU is losing to a bottom rung MAC team, FIU and FAU have potential but can not win games either, at least Arkansas State is close with a bad Okie State team.
This will be a long year.
QB play.
I just want to know who assesses the abilities of these guys. Rhett Bomar looked like crap today and he was considered the top Qb in the nation. Oh and that was against UCLA.

ok so why don't our coaches actually teach the team some discipline and quit these stupid penalties, especially 15 yd variety. This is a yearly thing so there is a clear pattern here.
As for QB does it really matter Meager and Phillips have both looked like Jr. HS QB's tonight.
QB play has been horrendous.
Yeah, I know it's a "sky is falling" mentality, but why could we not bring in a JUCO Qb to compete with Byerly?

Don't know but I think it was a bad move if Meager is not hurt. Offense looks horrible. Actaully, they were worse under Phillips, if that's possible.

You can't discount rivalries in college football. SMU defeated TCU for the very reason that they are a local area rivalry. If that game was played at Amon Carter, TCU would be 2-0 IMO.
Tulsa is a good team and had a very solid showing against two very highly talented teams.

Be careful what you wish for, we've got to play in Manhattan, KS next week. K-St. has to be licking their chops. Form what I've seen tonight, 80 points on thsi team is very much a possibility.
