Many thanks, Army of Dad!

Changing the subject slightly. I've not kept up and was looking over the brackets this morning. Tulsa is the only CUSA team at the NCAA?

Jamario's 2004 game with Colorado.

I liked Gretchen.

UNT90, that's a stereotype. You would be surprised how many members of Gomeangreen.com are women.

JaMario was/is my all time favorite UNT player. I'd wear my #20 jersey still, but he wouldn't get the credit.

My husband just found the game listed on our Uverse guide...CSN HD, channel 1741.

This is not football related, but no one saw it on the UNT News forum, and it is important to me. When Richard Rafes was on campus, a gazebo was erected for outdoor musical entertainment, etc., and students and alumni purchased engraved bricks in honor of individuals and/or organizations that were important to them to help pay for it. For example, a friend purchased a brick to honor his deceased parents. My question is whether the gazebo will remain where it is or be replaced by the Union expansion...and if it is replaced by the Union, will it and all of the engraved bricks be moved (as I certainly hope), or will they be discarded?

This is important to me and for that reason I almost posted it to the football forum, where it would be seen. I've suffered through last season and the past 30. This team is incredibly improved over last year. I am proud of them and I predict we will win at least six games and go to a bowl.

I found a picture of the new ring styles, but I cannot post it because the file is too big. The ad is located on page 12 of today's NT Daily. There are four rings pictured, two versions of the original official ring, and the two new styles. If someone can tell me how to attach a file that is 47 KB, let me know and I'll post it. Instead of the administration building, seal and eagle on the side, the two new styles have the major (one says "Marketing" and the other says "Finance and MBA." The one that says "Marketing" also says "2015 BA," and has the oval face that the original had. The one that says "Finance" and "MBA" has a flat face with son of worm, instead of the raised oval.

I am old and Green Mean is correct. We were using the term "Mean Green" before Joe was famous because of the wife of our sports information director.

Birds of Prey!!

...but the administration building and eagle on the sides have been removed even from the "traditional" new style.
-
That is true of one of the new styles, but the other one is completely different and has son of worm on it. If I can find a picture of the ad, I will post it.

Not really football related, but another tradition has gone the way of our multi shades of green. Several years ago the university adopted an official class ring and a yearly ceremony was added to honor seniors when they picked them up. This week I saw an ad in the NT Daily with a picture of four different types of UNT rings. The caption read something like, "Now you have your choice of four styles of UNT class rings. Come pick yours out." One of the new styles is similar to the "official" one that was launched several years ago, but one is entirely different and instead of the usual admin building and eagle, there is son of worm. It's not that I don't like son of worm; I just don't understand why our university can't decide on something and stick with it for more than five or six years. Is it because that is the tenure of our administrators?

Ragpicker, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram always has a feature on the second page of Friday's paper that lists sports on TV/radio. We didn't even make that list this morning and there must be thousands of NT alumni in Tarrant County.

Scholarship guys should NOT get priority over walkons where numbers are concerned. That sucks. Walkons work harder in some cases.

I thought this thread was about Chancellor Jackson. Wasn't too interested in taking the heat off him.

An eagle's nest is an "aerie," which is why the school's yearbook was once called the Aerie.
