I was asked what it is that I liked about Saturday's performance: the music and the marching. Sounded great! Looked good! Not crazy about the khakis, but I'm not having to march in a hot uniform.

I cannot believe all the complaints about the Green Brigade. Last Saturday should have shown you that our band is something to be really proud of. Not sure I agree we have the best marching band in the country, but they're pretty damn good.

Meangreen16, those reliefs were taken from Stovall Hall, which used to be the Women's Gym.

I would, too. I would also donate to a fund to use them in conjunction with a statue of Joe Greene.

The motifs from Fouts Field that Tyler posted tell the history of NT athletics. They are depictions of actual award winning athletes, such as Elmer and Delmer Brown, twins who qualified for the Olympics in track. When the decision was made to build the new stadium, I was assured (by folks on this board) that they would be kept and used at Apogee. Wondered where they were...they are a treasure and should be shared.
My apologies...it was trud1966 who mentioned the reliefs from Fouts, not Tyler.

HKS Architects designed our stadium. My son is an architect who worked there at the time. I don't think RV had anything to do with the wing zone. The lead architect on the project and the rest of the staff felt that Apogee's "distinctive" look would be a real plus for the university, and I personally like it, too.

RV hired Littrell, right? And what if Littrell and company are successful? Give it a chance.

Is this for real, or satire? I think I'm reading The Onion.

Good for him. I wish him the best.

Jamario's production was amazing until he suffered the hamstring injury. Remember the Colorado game? Remember his freshman year?

Canales was associate head coach, not assistant.

Twice Mike Canales has taken over a dejected team, infused them with energy and come out with wins (at least one so far this time). I think he should be given a shot because (a) it's the right thing to do, and (b) he's shown he can win.

Ok, folks, this is serious. I don't care about a guy's waistline if he is a good coach. That said, my brother was on the faculty at KU and a member of the athletic board; and, although the exact reasons for Mangino's firing were not made public, I did hear from my brother that they were serious. I was told he had to go.
