I did a project over the arms races in college football. You should look at UGA, Tennessee, Clemson to name a few football facilities. They have entire staffs for graphics, film, guys designing APPs for these schools as well. Schools are also using other sports to get more football scholarships getting guys who play Football and basketball, baseball, or even track. Football is becoming more specialized and having new careers just to get people involved. UNT hopefully embraces new ideas and new ways to find revenue streams to help increase and expand the program.

The rules used to state that all athletic scholarship players that participate in football and another sport must be on a football scholarship not the other sport. This could have changed , but it has not as far as I know.

I also specifically remember him talking about the perils of putting a true freshman QB in the lineup.

I've seen this mentioned a couple times.  Are we in for another year like we had with Jeremy Knott Good?

Looks like UT will start a true freshman at QB this year, Shane Buchele.

Buda Hays head coach is Blake Feldt, former Pilot Point head coach. Father of former UNT players Cam and Boone Feldt, who both barely saw the field after never quite 100% recovering after injuries.

Blake Feldt has been gone from Buda for several years, he is now the head Coach at Odessa Permian .

  4. Noticed two former UNT players were drafted Friday by the Texas Independence of the new Major Football League which will kick off this spring .Antonio Johnson was taken in the 15th round and Marcus Trice in the 40th round. This was the territorial part of the draft , the open draft was to continue Sat. The coach of the Texas team is Robert Ford a former NFL  and college coach.

Why in the world are we going soo heavy on jucos? We need some quality High school commits to build for the future. This is NOT a good sign. The silence is not a good sign either. I have almost never seen a coach hold back on good news. My initial happyness with Littrells recruiting for getting some nice transfers is fast turning into disappointment. Not saying this couldn't end up ok by NSD, but right now the signs are not good. And with Tx State and UTSA late start plus Rice coach being on the hot seat I feel like this is going a lot worse than it should be going.

As stated before the school (coach) cannot comment on high school commitments until signing day . Excluding those  HS  kids that graduated early and chose to enroll for the spring. The kid, his coach or the press can spread the news.
