I’m glad that Utah Valley played a push the pace, high octane offense against UAB. Bonus that it went into overtime.

You’re right that we’ve gotta play our style and put em in the meat grinder.

  2. Big opportunity for Tylor tonight. Get the feeling he’s ready to show out after the CUSA Semifinals. Walker clearly played with the chip on his shoulder in that game after not being named CUSA Player of the Year.

Mean Green get the title and Tylor gets the last word in the best player in the league discussion.

    Toughest team wins.

I am sure I will get bad ratings for this take, but I actually think we should drop football.  Become a basketball program and add baseball.

I’m all for investing more in UNT Basketball - coaching salaries and especially a new arena. But I can’t get with anything at the expense of football. We can be great at both. Both need to be relevant.

Tech fans don’t like Mac or his style of play.  He is just cashing out for the money it seems to me.  He could be at UNT for the rest of his career.  He will only be at Tech for 4 years.

No way. He’ll have Tech in their conference title game within 3 years. Grant wins at every level. Their casual fanbase is full of basketball morons. Their plugged in fans know what’s up. P5 fanbases as a whole  simply can’t objectively discern player and/or coaching talent outside their bubble cause they don’t watch it to have a basis for real comparison.

See: the media, NCAA Selection Committee, and P5 fans complete and total miss on CUSA this year.

I get that these are future AAC mates. I just don’t think post-season success outside of the NCAA tournament is going to do much to bump up the reputation of the league.

What??? Post season wins absolutely matter. They shape the future narrative of the programs involved. Current social media is flooded with comments about the group of CUSA schools post season performances, snubbing by the NCAA selection committee, and how strong the new AAC is going to be with them joining. How does that not have value?

I agree. I have been to many games where this number was much higher and it wasn't nearly as packed. By looks, this had to have been the highest attended game this season.

Even driving in, I haven't usually had to wait in traffic. That happened today.

I used to be in charge of getting the counts at games when I worked there back in the day. The crowd today was way more than 3,100 - Probably around 5,000 eyeballing it.

How does the MWC get 4-5 bids?

No reason for them to get 5 and CUSA get 1. Our league reps in the NCAA Tournament have consistently over performed while perennially being under-seeded. Don’t know how the committee doesn’t see this.
