  1. It really depends on her... Each hall has its own personality...

Bruce Hall- Houses the free spirits... Very unique and diverse residents. Historically a music dorm because of it's location on campus. There is an in-dorm cafeteria, that offers a nice vegetarian line in addition to the regular line. Community bathrooms.

Clark and Maple- I'm going to clump these two together, b/c they're very similar to each other in layout and personality. They're both very spirited and are located right off of Maple Ave (near the edge of campus, but still very accessible to the center of campus). Maple has a regular cafeteria in a separate building behind its courtyard, and Clark has the only late-night cafeteria, also in a separate building behind its courtyard. Suite bathrooms.

College Inn- Year-round dorm. Built by Holiday Inn awhile ago, and looks like it. It does have a pool, but it's only uncovered for the end of spring and summer. The best part about College Inn is that the room doors open up to the outside instead of the typical hallway. You have to walk to either West or Bruce to eat. Suite or private bathrooms.

Crumley- The smallest of the dorms. It is also an all-female dorm, and houses the Housing offices. Crumley has a good sense of community and has a kind-of like an all-girl sleep-over feel to it. Near the center of campus. Community bathrooms.

Kerr- The largest of the dorms. It has two large towers, and a good in-dorm cafeteria (lots of choices). This is the only cafeteria open on the weekends (if she chooses to have a 7-day meal plan). It's harder to do resident programs in Kerr just because of its massive size. Kind-of on the edge of campus. Suite bathrooms.

McConnell- TAMS dorm, does not apply.

West Hall- Kind-of like Clark and Maple, except it's off of North Texas Blvd (near the edge of campus. It's right across the street from the Rec Center, which is nice. In-dorm cafeteria. Community bathrooms.

Sante Fe/Traditions- Typically upper-class dorms (and many athletes live there, as well). Single rooms, suite bathrooms. You have to walk to West to eat. Also located on North Texas Blvd., and therefore down the street from the Rec Center. *Costs a little more than the rest of the dorms.

Mozart- A lot like SFT, typically upper-class. Semi-private rooms with attached bathroom. Clark and Maple's cafeterias are within easy walking distance. Located on the edge of campus, Mozart is one of the first things you see when you enter campus. Year-round dorm. *Costs a little more than the rest of the dorms.

Anyways, I hope this helps! biggrin.gif PM me if you have any more questions.

  2. Just an FYI... This was sent out over GroupWise yesterday...

I just want to clarify that Clark Hall is still standing and any rumors of its demise are greatly exaggerated! On Saturday morning about 2 am a transformer malfunction caused a great deal of heat and smoke in the Clark mechanical room which lead to the electrical panel being completely ruined and the building having to be evacuated and subsequently cleaned for smoke damage by Blackmon-Mooring this weekend. It is now up and running on temporary power with full service to students thanks to many wonderful employees and contractors who worked around the clock this weekend.

Since students were not allowed in the building until Sunday at 6 pm, many may be late on assignments or not ready for tests. Any extensions/understanding for these students would be greatly appreciated. However, any sympathy pains being referenced by students in other residence halls who want extensions should be ignored!! 3. so where did they stay on Saturday? did they put them up in hotells? or was everybody on their own? just curious!

like untbowler said, the residents had to find other places to go... i know they opened up the methodist center down the street, and i housed one friend for a few hours before she drove to her parents, and another all night... it was a very unfortunate event, but as always, housing stepped up to the challenge and they have had crews working day and night since it happened...

  4. i think its a great idea to have some "BLEACHER BUMS".... However, since we are playing on a city park, a portable set of bleachers will kill the grass between the two fences........ which needs to be used once we are finished playing there.... MIGHT BE A ????? FOR THE CITY AND RICK V.... I will ask......  or feel free....

    Who needs bleachers? ph34r.gif
