According to meangreensports.com...
EAGLE AMBASSADOR SHUTTLE - A shuttle runs between Apogee Stadium Gate 2, Gate 3, the Victory Hall entrance and the Victory Hall bus stop on home game days. The shuttle begins two hours prior to kickoff and runs approximately every 15 minutes until the end of the first quarter, then resumes at the beginning of the fourth quarter until approximately 30 minutes after the end of the game.
The locations are highlighted in purple in the map in this link:

We are planning to take the trains. Have not decided on ordering tickets through our ticket office or directly from SMU.
Why would you buy tickets from the SMU ticket office?

Unrelated to the topic, kinda sorta, but do you not keep the same seats year after year? How does that work?
Yes, as long as you renew by the deadline, which I believe is June 30th.

I expect the following two things from the Athletic department:
1. Create an environment where student athletes can achieve their academic goals
2. Act in a manner that reflects the highest level of integrity in all endeavors
I expect the same from the University as a whole.

meangreensports.com lists the kickoff time as 11:00 AM

According to KRAM1 in another thread:
Not quite the same...admission will be free, but beer and spirits will cost starting this year...no dinners, but hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Looks like since beer is now being sold in the Super Pit, they cannot give it away in the Green Room. -

If there was sufficient demand for a grocery store within walking distance to campus, there would already be a new one. That's how capitalism works.
Business owners have the right to operate their businesses in whatever (legal) manner they choose. That's how the free market works. The availability of other options is irrelevant. The fact that some people don’t care for the store’s appearance is irrelevant. The fact that some people don’t think Sack n Save is as cheap as other options is irrelevant. If Sack n Save wasn't making money it would go out of business...apparently that is not the case.
I think that corner is an eyesore as well and I hope the University and the owners of Sack n Save can come to an agreement, but using Eminent Domain is not justified in my opinion.

"Moreover, CDC Director Tom Frieden’s assurances that the US will stop Ebola “in its tracks” is based on a strong track record by public health systems in the US and beyond. Not only have similar viruses to Ebola arrived in the US before and been successfully contained, but four US health care workers diagnosed with Ebola all survived after receiving treatment in the US."
"Nigeria was under threat of an outbreak when a Liberian man diagnosed with the disease traveled to Lagos earlier this summer. With inadequate and fragile infrastructure, Lagos – Africa’s most populous city – was seen as vulnerable to an outbreak. Yet “swift action, including tracing nearly all exposed people and creating facilities to isolate them during the needed 21-day monitoring period, stopped the virus cold,” writes Michael Smith, a correspondent for MedPage Today."

The setup wasn't the best for the number of people there...which I would estimate at 35-40. There were not enough chairs and hardly any table space. Also, there were only two TVs, one of which was HD. Beer selection, food and service were good. Our server was on her game. Overall, I liked the place but for game watching my vote would be for a different location next time.

Here is the information from meangreensports.com:
Schedule, Locations For Heart of Dallas Bowl Ticket Will-Call Set
Tickets Purchased Through North Texas Available At Apogee Until Dec. 30 at 3 p.m.Dec. 27, 2013
Here's the schedule and locations to pickup tickets to the New Year's Day Heart of Dallas Bowl purchased through the North Texas Athletic Ticket Office:
• Tickets will be available for pickup at the Apogee Stadium will-call window until 3 p.m. on Monday, December 30.
• Will-call will then move to the lobby of the Omni Hotel in Dallas, and will be open Monday, Dec. 30, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• On Jan. 1, any remaining tickets purchased through North Texas will be available at the Cotton Bowl will-call window at Gate E.
This article was posted on the official website yesterday, however, when I contacted the ticket office about an hour ago I was told that the tickets WOULD NOT be available at the Omni on Monday and the will-call window will be at Gate J. I don't understand why this is such a problem for the Athletic department to get right.

Thank you email sent!

Silver level seats require a donation of $3,125 per seat paid out over five years.

Allow me to play tour guide for a minute.
What is the parking situation? Are there cash lots near the stadium? Shuttles?

Had a great time. Thanks again for putting it on. GMG

But the thing is, every year I've had a job in my life, year to year, my salary has gone up 3-4%, my premiums have gone up 10-25%. My coverage in that same time period has gone from 100% no deductible to 70% $5000 deductible. It doesn't take a mathematical savant to see that over time, I would eventually have to start paying my employer to go to work.
Agreed. Healthcare costs have increased faster than median income for quite some time, but so has the cost of an average home or college education. However, nothing in the new law addresses the cost of healthcare, only access. What the ACA will accomplish is to move the burden of healthcare costs from the consumers of healthcare to all taxpayers, thus socializing the expense of healthcare in America.
-
As things were, as they currently are, all but the very wealthy, as in $5 million per person, is destined to die bankrupt at the hands of health care.
I disagree. Currently the majority of Americans are covered through their employer and then roll onto Medicare after retirement. This system has effectively provided access to healthcare for most Americans for decades. I would hazard a guess that few people with health insurance are forced into bankruptcy due to health related expenses.

Is there going to be an "official" Mean Green tailgating event in Ruston? I thought I saw something that said "details to come".
I just received an email regarding the official tailgate. It will be from 11:30 - 2:00 located next to the Lady Techsters Softball Complex.
Tech fans - Is the parking lot immediately to the East of the softball field available to visitors on game days? Thanks in advance.

Good to read your posts again.

Hey Rick. I've been around, but don't get out as much as I used to. Hope all is well with the family.
