All of this pessimism and second guessing is annoying me and my beer drinking.
Does anyone else feel like this is our year to make some noise?
We have already got one SMU coach fired so how bout we get their AD fired by demolishing them tomorrow.

my point is that the drop off in talent isn’t as significant as you think on offense and our defense is going to be much improved. We will see what that means on the scoreboard but unless your defense is monumentally better it’s going to be a long day for your guys up front with our RB talent.

I think the game will be fairly close (with a decent chance of a UNT win), but largely due to SMU stepping into a newer system. Personnel-wise, it won't be as much of a drop off as you guys seem to think.

He says how can defense get worse. Well when you lose your best player to the NFL that was able to attack our weakest link yes it can get worse.

How many times do you hear that a parent only follows UT or Tech just because there kid goes there? If we can add just one parent as a UNT follower to just a fourth of the student body that would be huge every year.

If they are able to replace 3 NFL players by the first game in a new system then we are in trouble. If they are a team learning a new system while trying to fit new pieces in then they are in trouble.
